So I went to use an offer that was emailed to me, and I'm sure numerous other Starbuck customers. That was only valid today 9/1 - 9/2.. The offer was $3. Any drink. My order daily is usually $8.45. The offer DID NOT HAVE A BAR CODE in the APP but, in fact, gave a coupon code that was to be entered by barista at the cash register during checlout. I ordered my drink, and when I approached the drive-thru window at check out i advised the cashieri was using the $3 offer, the barista wasn't familiar with the offer. I then proceeded to explain what I was reading on the phone and was told by her and what I assumed was a manager that their system was down and they couldn't use or scan or honor any APP offers!!! I then proceeded to explain there wasn't anything to scan that it was a 4 dugitvcode that merely needed to be applied 4292 to be exact. So the manager then says well I can adjust the price. The price went from the 8.45 cents to $4.92, but the offer was 3 dollars. Any drink ( no size specifications) un reluctantly, I paid to further avoid any other issues because I'm already irritated at this point. However, corporate needs to better train employees on how to handle promotions and offers that are offered. As a frequent customers, these are the perks and deals we live for considering the very expensive and high price items on the menu!! And my drink wasn't correct after all of that. Now I usually tip a little higher to offset the discount when there is a huge discount like the $3 dollar. 3 dollar tip ans it's still saving me 2.45 cents. But I did not tip because they definitely made my experience stressful, to say the least. Shame on you, STARBUCKS GET IT TOGETHER.
