Unfortunately, our experiencewas absolutely terrible!! Mick's is supposedly this Shelley institution, where the food is so amazing. It WASNT. They claim they serve fresh cut fries with their meals. They looked like frozen steak fries from a plastic freezer bag. My sister had a cheeseburger that wasn't special in any way. I had one of their "best sellers", a turkey sandwich on "stuffing bread" with cranberry jalapeno spread. It sounded very Food Network-ish trendy!! I got a small sandwich with desert-dry YELLOW bread (it looked like it had yellow food coloring in the dough!!) with barely a dusting of stuffing spices. The cranberry jalapeno sauce DID NOT look homemade!! It looked like a jarred sauce with a corn syrup base from a third-rate factory - it tasted WORSE. It didn't taste like it had any fresh components at al!! The actual turkey tasted delicious!! I wish every turkey sandwich had quality turkey like that!! Problem is, it was surrounded with pitiful, substandard ingredients.

The decor was awful, and the building it's in needs serious updates.

The service was AWFUL. NO ONE came to check on us, and if we needed something, we would have to flag someone down. We talked with the owner about what we noticed, and she got argumentative with us!! We were so excited to go to Mick's, especially about the pie we had heard so much about. We were so disappointed that we left without pie. Overall, it was a highly disappointing visit, and a waste of...

Been to Mick's twice. Once for dinner, they were out of the first three things we tried to order. Then what my wife did order did not come out with everything that was on the menu. When we asked about it the waitress said it didn't come with it, so we asked for a menu and showed her what it said and she was very indignant with us. Didn't go back for months but decided to try breakfast today. The breakfast was good, as long as you don't ask for anything special. Requested extra crispy on the hash browns, didn't happen. They also apparently only know how to make scrambled or over-easy eggs. My son asked for over-medium, it came out over-easy. He was just going to eat it but then noticed a hair cooked into it. So sent it back with the hair and pointed out that it was not over-medium as he had requested. The replacement egg was...

We came in for breakfast, were seated right away, and our food came out well under ten minutes. The hash browns are definitely fresh-grated as their website advertised, not some frozen, over-processed stuff from a baggy like you'd get at IHop or Denny's. This being Idaho, I suppose I'd expect nothing less, but it's still nice to see little touches like that.

The scone was delicious, the bacon was a hearty serving crisped to perfection, and the ham steak was substantial in size, as well.

The restaurant itself had that hometown, local feel, definitely family friendly and the prices were reasonable. Our server Katy was very polite, warm, had a smile consistently and made sure we weren't waiting for anything.

Whether you live in Shelley or are just driving through, I highly suggest you try out this little gem; you won't be...

We stopped in for a snack. We got 3 small shakes and a large fry and large onion ring. The fries appeared to be fresh potatoes, skins on. Good but greasy. The onion rings seemed to be the frozen kind. But good. Typical condiments of catsup, mustard and fry sauce. All nice and cold, not left out on tables, thank goodness. The shakes were good. Two complaints. The thin mint shake was not thin mints but the mint cookies from Walmart that are the gray bake brand. I know because there was an entire cookie not crushed up in the shake and was difficult to eat. The other complaint, styrofoam cups. I don’t know why restaurants still use these toxic cups. Honestly I would have preferred it served in a reusable cup or a paper to go cup.

We came here on a Tuesday night at about 645. It wasn’t very crowded and we were able to sit right away. But we did end up waiting about 30 to 45 minutes to get our food. Which seemed like a really long time for some burgers and grilled chicken sandwiches.the super burgers is a pretty good burger and the other guys in our group got the cheeseburgers and really like cheeseburgers. The best thing on the menu is the pie shakes. However, the selection of pies was down to lemon, strawberry and blueberry. So that was kind of disappointing. The strawberry pie shake was still good. Very much a small town country diner vibe.
