I’m not sure there are enough words to describe how much my family & I love Casa Nova! I am embarrassed to admit that we’ve not had the chance to sit and eat in the restaurant, however we order for takeout quite often and have never once been disappointed in the least!!! The portions are more than generous and the food is absolutely fantastic every time! I am a super picky eater but I have never been let down a single time when eating from here!!! I also have to make a point of sending enormous thanks to the gentleman who more often than not ends up being at the counter when I am picking up our food, and I again hate to admit that I don’t know his name but I will find out because he is absolutely amazing and beyond sweet…. I have a 6 y/o son who loves to go anywhere that mommy is going so he typically will be with me when I go to get our dinner but I believe it may have been the first time my son was with me it was of course the second we walked into the restaurant he just HAD to have some water and I knew we were going literally from the restaurant to our house which is less than 5 mins from them so I wasn’t going to spend money on a bottle of water when we have a dispenser at the house, so I asked the young man behind the counter if it was possible to get a little cup of water and he said sure and went so far as to go get my son a little foam cup with some ice and water and then of course my son being 6 has absolutely zero brain to mouth filter had noticed that this beyond sweet guy has a scar on his face so he blurts out asking why he has a scar in his face and the guy told him etc etc but I was beyond impressed with just how much personal attention he was willing to give to a kid and even his brother who also works there is always beyond...
Read moreSo today my family decided we would take our children out to eat then to go play at the arcade (sport center). We got to Casa Nova and noticed it was full. We walked in and almost every customer walking in had no mask on.. We were the only family wearing masks.. The people at the bar were sitting within a foot maybe a few inches close to eachother. We looked passed those issues and decided to wait the initial "30min wait" 30 minutes quickly turned into 45min. An hour passes by and the waiter tells us our table is just now leaving. 15min more pass by they tell us we are setting your table right now so our family says ok cool the food is worth it so we order our food so that when we sit our food would be ready. 15 min more pass and at that point it was 730pm. So not only did our children not get to eat but they were really sad that they could not go play at the arcade because they close at 8pm. We ended up leaving and ordering at a local pizza place by our house. It must have been a warning not to eat there due to NO SOCIAL DISTANCING BEING MADE IN THIS RESTAURANT. DO NOT GO THERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO RISK...
Read moreI am in town on business and this was the first restaurant that was recommended to me. Truly an amazing experience from start to finish.
As a solo traveler, I sat at the bar and was greeted by two regulars who were very friendly and welcoming. That would be the theme of the evening from both the other regulars as well as the folks who work at/own the restaurant. This seemed to be a locals spot where everyone knows everyone, and I was welcomed into that circle as a visitor with open arms. (One of the owners, all brothers I believe, was friendly, professional, and great to converse with as I dined alone.)
I ordered the scallops and they were cooked perfectly and were not tough to eat. Healthy portion as well and certainly worth the menu price. As I write this I am thinking about going back tonight for dinner. I also ordered a pizza to-go and really enjoyed it back at my hotel. (Plain cheese, but they have a list of specialty pies.)
If you're not in the mood to sit and dine, they do plenty of pizza carryout with a dedicated space for people to come in and carry out without disrupting.
