Cute small mom and pop's Korean joint with sushi available. This is my first time coming here. I was having the lunch combo of Korean Ramen and one choice of roll. I opted out for Spicy Tuna Roll and Seafood Ramen. The Spicy Tuna roll came first. A good amount of spicy tuna inside the rolI and a good ratio of rice. Originally I was looking for sashimi lunch but they don't have it under lunch menu. Their ala carte menu has the combo of sushi and sashimi. Even though the name on the front is Sushi but they mainly are offering Korean dishes along with sushi rolls and sushi ala carte. One other thing that maybe overlooked is that I was surprised that their soy sauce came chilled. I am so glad they do that. Also at the end of the meal I heard that their soy sauce are homemade. Great points for this. Next, my ramen came. Korean ramen is very similar to Nong Shim Ramen that we can get at Asian grocery stores only on this they add lots of garnishes such us poached egg, carrots, broccoli and seafood which is an additional. It tasted somewhat mediocre, maybe I am biased since I always made my homemade ramen at home and I am actually ramen chef specializing in Japanese ramen. But overall it was a great lunch. The service from the owner is very pleasant. I will come back again to try their Bibimbap. Also price is reasonable.

Food and service are fantastic here!! We are always welcomed like family coming to dinner. We ordered something a little different tonight… homemade pork dumplings, a tuna and avocado roll that they serve it with their homemade soy sauce (they proudly make it themselves) 10 out of 10!! My husband ordered the spicy pork hot pot (absolutely delicious) and she even brought over a little bowl for me to try his dinner (top notch service)! I asked about the Soju’s and was given a couple samples to taste, finally settling on the Lycee Soju. Note it’s 12% by volume. The owner asked if we had any peanut allergies and after we said no, she brought over some mixed nuts to enjoy with the drink. I would say it’s something like a slightly sweetened cold saki. Fun experience! This is a small mom and pop place that has big flavors and customer service most 5 star restaurants dream about!!

Today was our first visit to Sushi 2020 and it far exceeded all of my expectations of a small Sushi restaurant! From start to finish, our whole experience was wonderful! I was delighted to find that they specialize in some amazing Korean dishes such as tteok-bokki and kimchi fried rice! They also have some tasty sushi rolls as well as delicious Ramen. Their Honey Citron Tea was a delightful drink with notes of tart citrus and honey. The cherry on top is the wonderful service and gratitude from the servers. You can really feel the pride and admiration these owners have for their trade. I hope many others stumble upon this hidden gem I know I will definitely be one of my go-tos from now on!

This is my first EVER restaurant review but I sincerely feel that the public needs to know how incredible this little gem is. Every detail was thought out: the fresh flowers, the curated playlist, the decor, the ceramic ware, and EVEN the silverware holders — all wonderful touches that made the ambience enjoyable and added to the night. The food was incredible. The portions were very large, very reasonable priced and everything was very fresh. Small touches really escalated every item. The soy sauce was made in house, as was the kimchi, both were incredible. The Honey Citron tea was diffused with fresh citrus pulp. The owners took the time to address ‘sushi restaurant staples’, such as miso soup, dumplings, and seaweed salad, with an innovative approach. Items that might be overlooked in other restaurants received the extra effort and attention and it truly made the difference. What was truly remarkable was the friendly, attentive service. The gratitude that the owners displayed for our patronage truly made us feel special. It was a delight to see how incredibly eager the owners were to share every new course with us. They took tremendous pride in everything they delivered, yet were incredibly humble all the same. We will absolutely be going back. I have never left a restaurant with the thought or notion, that I might one day be a regular- but this place has exceeded every expectation, and I will be going back often. Best restaurant in Shelton. Hands down. Thank you Sushi 2020! Happy one year...

I don't even know where to begin. My partner and I are huge fans of Asian food and eat out a lot at Korean and Japanese restaurants. This place made it into our top 5 ever after one meal. Our server Jena was so welcoming, seriously the best wait service I've had at any restaurant in a very long time. Our courses were timed so well, and she gave us an extra miso soup and complimentary kimbap to try on top of all of the incredible things we ordered. We had the cherry blossom sushi roll and spicy salmon avocado roll they were both perfect and came with this crab shredded slaw that I wasn't expecting that paired so well with them both. We had the deep fried dumplings also - I am a huge dumpling fan - and these were some of the best fried dumplings I've ever had they weren't greasy and they were so light and flavorful. Their ginger dressing and soy sauce and wasabi was all home made in house - and you could tell! - by how incredible they were! We also got the beef bento box that came with japchae noodles, kimchi, rice, and ginger salad. Literally every single thing we ate was out of this world, and all paired so well with the delicious peach soju shots we drank throughout the meal. The price was right as well High compliments to this chef and to the wonderful service from Jena. My partner and I can not wait to return here and make this one of our...
