Iâm absolutely floored over the unprofessionalism of the two female bartenders. These women are a horrible representation of this establishment and are doing the owner a major disservice. They will 100% cause this business to fail. Im a 30-year old woman and had just gone in to use the bathroom while my fiancĂ© went to order us drinks. One of the bartenders (brunette older woman) entered the bathroom to tell me to âhurry upâ because she was waiting to card me (I was in there for a matter of minutes). When I approached the bar and handed her my ID, she demanded another form of which I presented. I then mentioned (to my fiancĂ©) that this was kind of aggressive and at this point, the bartender took major offense and began to yell at me about what I had said. She muttered to the other bartender that she was not going to serve us and then proceeded to announce the same message aloud in front of other patrons. She stated that the reason was because I had offended her with my comment. She threatened to call the police on me when I questioned why she was kicking us out. The other bartender (a blonde younger girl) simply raised her voice to tell the other woman to stop yelling. We voluntarily left only to be followed by patrons who left immediately to let us know how outrageous the incident was. This behavior is intolerable and absolutely horrendous. Iâve never had an experience like this in my entire life. It seems like these women are unsupervised and perhaps are used to taking the easy way out towards the end of the night. These are most unprofessional people Iâve dealt with in years. Please hire competent and polite staff.
A few words of wisdom to the owner after reflecting on this incident: Based on the reviews, the emotional outbursts from this bartender seem to be a pattern. She was very reactive and vengeful. As the owner, Iâm sure youâve invested your lifeâs savings into your establishment and you should choose employees you can can trust to uphold your barâs reputation when you are not there. This bartender seems to enjoy power- playing with customers and doesnât care who she offends. However, Iâm a local educator with many colleagues that enjoy going out for happy hour in the area. People talk about their experiences and itâs unfortunate to have had this one. Iâm sure as the owner, this does not reflect your values but you should really consider the impact of employees like this.
Danny O- This response does not surprise me but itâs a pity because you will continue to experience similar occurrences that will ultimately damage your reputation as a community bar. It is clear that you do not value your customers or care about their experiences at your establishment. At no point were your bartendersâ actions warranted and what was said was in response to the crass behavior that both your customers and myself witnessed. While the behavior was most definitely called out, I unfortunately did not use profanity and would think twice before making those accusations. I am coming to you from a first time customer standpoint; this is not a turf war. Iâve spent a large portion of my upbringing in Shelton but was flabbergasted at the behavior that you apparently support and allow to continue. I will spread the word about my experience here so that others might be spared of a wasted evening....

Had to stop for a friend who was having an emergency, the manager told my friend she can use the bathroom but has to pay for something. Friend calls me and asks me to come in and pay, I come in and explain to the other employee that âiâm here to pay for someone so they can use the bathroomâ my friend comes back out and we try to decide what to buy cause we are only there for the bathroom we lost a few things off and ask what we should buy but when the employee heard that we were only there for the bathroom she said not to worry about it. which lead to the âmanagerâ running out after us and screaming at my friend saying she didnât pay and is banned for not being a customer. I tried to reach out to speak to a manager or someone else to have this situation cleared up and figure out why we were treated so rudely but only kept getting the same attitude back and accusations saying we were only gonna buy $2.50. no offense low paying or not having an emergency and getting treated by being yelled at for no reason even after we tried to pay and offered to just tip for letting my friend use the bathroom. {Edited: How is the government at fault for your staff screaming over a tiny situation when we offered to pay.    Read moreI came to this bar after dinner with my girls tonight and we had leftover food from dinner and walked over since we were so close, we then were approved by the âowners wifeâ saying we werenât allowed to bring our leftovers in as we were already sitting at the table. My friend opened a tab and ordered a drink it was wrong, no problem we go get it fixed as sheâs at the bar the âownerâ is standing there questioning her saying âoh must of had too much lemonade tonightâ because it was suppose to be lemonade in the drink hence why we were back at the bar getting the drink fixed, then proceeds to come to our tables asking how our dinner was as if we werenât questioned about the food several times already. We went there for a simple drink after dinner not realizing weâd be harassed over us having dinner before stopping at the bar before heading home. He then took my friends drink and told us to exit the building as we stood up for ourselves after this man talked to us in this disrespectful way.
