Gran Ranchero Mexican Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Shepherdstown

The food was generally good. I enjoyed the grilled salmon tacos. The atmosphere was welcoming. Service was friendly and the margarita was good. I ordered a Kona Wave on draft, but in hindsight, I should’ve ordered a Mexican beer. We ordered our dinners with a small house salad. One of the salads came with dressing in a packet. A better presentation would have been opening the packet and pouring it in a cup. It was a very hot night so that might have contributed to the problem with the flies. My Husband and I ate there for the first time tonight and everything was delicious! The drinks were great, the service was wonderful and the building is super cool! Definitely do yourself a favor and check them out!

We had the Pollo Relleno, it was amazing! The Chori Pollo, yummmm! And our drinks were a Blackberry Margarita and a Blackberry Paloma. Both were mixed perfectly and the presentation was 😍.

We decided to try out a new restaurant and chose this one. After being seated, it took our waiter about eight minutes to come to our table, and he looked quite sweaty. After taking our order, he often wiped his face and nose with his hands. He didn't check on us during our meal and seemed more interested in the bar area. The food we received was mediocre and quite bland. Moreover, the restaurant had a fly problem; we were constantly bothered by flies and gnats landing on our food. This will be our first and last time visiting this place.The establishment needs a day of nothing but cleaning...
