I KNOW THIS LOCATION IS BRAND NEW, but aren’t people trained anymore before a location opens? The wait was 25 mins. I understand it may take longer, but the least you expect is the order to be correct. The lady that took my order came on the speaker with, have you been helped? I told her no and then I ordered a number 1 meal with cheese and no onions on the burger please, which I repeated twice. Then I ask for a Dr. Pepper for the drink. I got to the window and decided to check the burger. It had cheese but was loaded with onions. So, I tried to give back the burger and the lady said she couldn’t take it back, and she would have them make me another one. As I waited, another lady ask for the receipt which I handed to her and I let her know that I said NO onions twice. Decided to take a drink of my Dr.Pepper, while I was waiting and it was a DIET drink. So, when she opened the window again I said this is diet can I please have a Dr Pepper. She closed the window and opened it again and said what do you want. I said I ordered a regular Dr. Pepper. I then received the new burger that was made correctly but smothered in mustard so thick no one would eat that burger. While all this is happening in the second lane, the customer ask for a worker to come to his truck. The guy did, the customer told him he had waited twenty minutes at drive thru and no one took his order. The worker put his head down and said nothing and walked back in whataburger. The customer was like, really! He drove off without anyone ever taking his order. I was so upset. I love whataburger and eat it all the time. For almost 11 bucks, it shouldn’t be that hard to get me a decent meal. I decided to call the location and ask for a manager. The guy answered said he was Pedro and was the manager. Whom as you could tell wasn’t listened or even paying attention. After I told him that someone needed to step up and pay attention, he hung up on me. I would AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ANY COST AND Hopefully SOMEONE WILL CARE TO GET STAFF THAT CARES OR THIS LOCATION IS GOING TO HAVE A HARD TIME. I have never left a bad review online for anything, but as much as we spend on fast food someone needs to wake up. I did call the corporate office and the guy was very caring and nice. I decided to throw the food away, no knowing what they may have done to my remade burger and go to the other location in Sherman. I have never had a problem at whataburger and have eaten it...
Read moreLast week after a long shift, I swung by Whataburger around midnight, and let me tell you — it hit the spot like nothing else. The second I walked in, the staff greeted me with a warm “Welcome to Whataburger,” and even though it was late, they were just as friendly as if it were lunchtime. The place was clean, calm, and had that orange-and-white glow that always feels inviting.
I ordered my go-to — a Whataburger with cheese, jalapeños, and extra pickles — and added fries with their famous spicy ketchup. While I waited, the smell of the grill and toasted buns filled the air, and it honestly made me hungrier. When my order came out, it was fresh, hot, and exactly how I asked for it.
The burger itself was massive, juicy, and packed with flavor. The jalapeños gave it the right kick, and the veggies were crisp, not soggy like you sometimes get at other places. The fries were golden and perfect, but the spicy ketchup took them over the top. I even grabbed an extra packet for dipping the burger — no shame in that.
What really stood out though was the atmosphere. A couple of families were eating in, some folks were laughing over shakes, and it just had that laid-back, Texas vibe. You could stay and hang out without feeling rushed.
By the time I left, I felt full, satisfied, and honestly a little happier. That’s what I love about Whataburger — it’s not just food, it’s an experience. Whether it’s late night, early morning, or lunch with friends, they never disappoint. Five stars,...
Read moreI was very happy to see a location in Sherman closed to where I live. However I have been very disappointed. The food has been good but service is sorely lacking. I've been there 5 times and this is the summary of my visits. Visit 1: Shorted 4 taquitos in my order. I didn't take it back because it was very late at night and I was too tired. Visit 2: Cheese on my burger. I HATE cheese on burgers so I threw it away. Visit 3: I got a Whataburger combo 1. I explicitly told them NO CHEESE. Guess what? I got cheese. Visit 4: Rinse and repeat, there was cheese on my burger again. This time even though it was after midnight and I was very tired, I drove back and insisted I get a burger without cheese. This brings me to today. Visit 5: I ordered a #1 combo with cheese Whatasized with tea, a #2 combo no cheese Whatasized with coke, a #13 combo with a medium Dr Pepper and 3 apple pies. I checked before I left and there wasn't cheese on my burger but no apple pies in the sack so I had to park and go inside to get my ordered corrected. After arriving home I found out the fries were not Whatasized as I had paid for according to the receipt. Why do I bother with the drive in if I have to get out and go it to get the order fixed?? It this a training issue, a management issue or a "I have a bad attitude"...
