Tonight my daughter ordered Popeyes thru Door Dash here in Sherwood. As is not uncommon with late night dashing, our order spun and recycled thru three dashers and the restaurant supposedly preparing our order everytime. My daughter and I finally drove to this store to get some food ourselves, all while dealing with Door Dash support (which always makes it right for me). The manager at Popeyes, Sarah, immediately did her job perfectly. When I explained what happened, she asked if I was Kayla M and then told me that a woman had picked up my order about 10 minutes prior to my arrival. The app never updated to a delivery in progress at all, so that was that. I then told her I wanted to place the same order and read it off of my app. I asked to add a 3 PC strip to it and completed my order. I had to go back and get my purse from the car for payment. When I returned, I paid for my order and Sarah handed me my receipt. She then totally surprised me by kindly including my 3 strips AND an extra soda at no charge because she felt bad for my experience. I was not expecting that at all, especially this day and age; it truly warmed my heart. Austin, and everyone on that staff tonight were also very kind, engaging and, of course, curious about the situation. These guys made this ridiculous experience completely enjoyable and I wish that every food service experience could be like that. The funniest part was the 5th dasher that walked in asking for an order for Kayla M while I was waiting on my order. Sarah pointed at me and said "THAT'S Kayla M!". Hahahahaha. Pulled up to the speaker at the Drive Thru, and was greeted as if it were an informal phone call: "Popeye's on Keihl." Taken back at the... greeting I guess that was... I said:
"Yeah, I need 2 spicy breasts, and 2 additional biscuits for a total of four please."
The reply from the guy inside, was completely out of the realm of understandable!
Paid and got the food, and headed straight home. Got home in under 10 minutes, and when my wife opened the box of biscuits, I hear her exclaim: WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!?
I look at the biscuits, and in there were the 4 and one had black mold on the bottom! I have pictures of this! The one that was next to it had some rubbed off on it! Then there was another of them that had a hair sticking out of it! The fourth one had what looked like dirt on it!
I have had other issues in the past that i have handled or reported to the Manager like the one cook that was smoking in his apron outside. Or another cook that walked in to the store in front of me wreaking of marijuana smoke...
This store has gone down hill drastically over the last year, and this was not a good experience today!
I am sick and tired of the incompetence of people! When I called and talked to Chris at this store, he did not sound surprised, all he said was: "That should not have been in there..."

Read moreFeathers Again! Done with this Popeye's! I hesitantly tried it again today because it's what family members wanted. It's worse every time you go. They're usually terribly slow and all employees act like it's their first day working there. The containers for the sides are now half the size that they were recently and they still only fill the new containers less than half the way, so you get about 1/4 of a portion. Today I had about four small spork fulls of Red Beans and Rice, which as it turns out was fine because they were awful. It was almost room temperature, the rice was undercooked (hard) and the soupy beans were bland. Today, at least one piece of the five piece chicken order was not spicy as ordered. This is a regular occurrence at this Popeye's, they rarely get an order correct, they just don't care. I've called in the past and told the person in charge that fried chicken would probably be better without the feathers, but guess what? (see pic). There actually must be people out there that like fried chicken feathers, because they keep serving them. Maybe they should have a new side offering of just chicken feathers or another chicken option (with or without feathers). Trying to think of at least one nice thing to say about this place, but it's difficult. Oh, they did have butter for the hard biscuits today, which they've been out of recently, and I just fed the rest of today's chicken order to my dogs, they liked it. ...
