Shipley Do-Nuts — Restaurant in Sherwood

The wait in this place is crazy. I get it’s Saturday morning, but my wait was going to be about 25 minutes until I decided to walk out because I had places to be. Each customer that walks in is helped by one, very slow, cashier. This cashier boxes up every individual donut per customer as they point to each one and say, “uhhh...that one...and one of those...and that one.” It’s the kind of sweet, down-home inefficiency you’ll only find in Arkansas.

So, Shipley, if you’re reading this I have offered a few suggestions:

-Get a second register for the other guy who just stands there.

-Offer pre-boxed dozens at a slightly discounted price. These could be a mix or all the same. Seriously, I had to watch while they hand the donuts through from the back one-by-one while the cashier then boxes them up one-by-one, even when they’re all the same! How about skipping a few steps there and getting a whole lot more customers through your door.

Love the breakfast croissant sandwich here. I went through the drive thru and there was only one car in front of me. They came out and took my order and the car behind me's order. The car behind me got their order and left I waited I guess 12 to 15 minutes behind the car in front of me. Finally they gave a cup of coffee to the car in front of me and they drove off. Worst shipley’s I’ve ever been to. The workers have terrible attitudes. They take orders from white customers and fill as they go and the white people pay at the end. When black customers come to order, they ask what all you want and ring it up and make you pay for it before they will fill the order. They treat 3rd party delivery drivers terribly as well. They won’t turn off their online ordering system and will have them to stand in line like a regular customer only to finally make it to the front and tell them that they aren’t doing any online orders.
