Went 90 minutes before closing, lobby was closed, employee was sitting outside on sidewalk smoking and NEVER mentioned it. When door was locked we asked if they were already closed, he says door is locked guess so. We got back in vehicle which is tough due to me being disabled. Went to drive thru since all the signs said OPEN. Pulled up you couldn't understand person on speaker so we said we will pull up. It pissed her off when we said we couldn't understand her through the speaker. We SHOULD of just left. Ordered a pulled pork sandwich, a regular potato salad and a sweet tea, the price was higher than expected, we paid, waited on food and they handed it to us. She goes we are out of pulled pork so I did a chopped brisket. I didn't WANT brisket but just went along with it. Then my husband all the while NEVER saying a word other than thanks, reaches for the tea, she kinda of just tossed it to him and the lid was not attached as he put his hand out to put it under the cup, it poured out onto him and down the inside of the car. The ENTIRE large drink was emptied, 1st off he asked for some napkins and she threw 2 at him and when he asked for a refill she obliged but was huffy about it. We asked for a manager and she said no one was there we would have to come back another day. We drove off into parking lot and husband had to pull his shirt off it was so drenched in tea. We had to go back home instead of going to our appointment. We cleaned the car and husband got his shower. When we opened the bag of food there was a TINY sauce cup of potato salad and mot even a tablespoon of meat on the sandwich, NO sauce and the meat was just end pieces that were so hard it couldn't be ate. We ended up having to spend $85 to have the car cleaned, tea was on seat, carpet, inside and outside of door. The so called CUSTOMER SERVICE sucked and we have NEVER had the horrible food from any Podnuhs EVER before. We will NEVER go back not will we recommend this location!!! HORRIBLE FOOD...
Read moreHad the "1 meat plate" with sliced brisket, green beans/potatoes, and cole slaw with a Diet Coke on tap.
The brisket was decent, but was slighty dry as if it were the ends of a brisket that had been waiting a bit too long on the counter. Beans were slightly overdone. Cole slaw had too much sugar and way too much mayo mixture added. Diet Coke was great... perfect mix of CO2 and syrup.
My main gripe on this trip is the facility. It requires a floor to ceiling detailed scrubbing. Seriously, the whole place... starting with the floors and especially the tables and chairs. There is a thick accumulation of grease and cleaning supply residue on all horizontal surfaces.
Meat server needs to wear a new pair of disposible gloves on each approach to the cutting board.... especially if they leave the serving area and touch the register.
I'm an old dining facility officer, so I notice things others don't, but these are major issues even a beginner manager...
Read morePodnuh's Bar-B-Q is no friend of mine. The food is absolutely terrible. It's not often that I take my time to write a review but I made the exception for this restaurant. In an effort to keep this short l'll list some of the defiencies. The collard greens where ice cold, as if they were straight out of the refrigerator. The baked beans use a ketchup base for the bar-b-q beans. The ribs still had the bonding membrane. The fountain drink machine, had absolutely no drinks. The only drink that they had was ice tea, and that was made from tap water. There's a laundry list of other deficiencies that I will not name. In short, don't waste your time or money, most of all, Do not assault your taste buds...
