Ichiban sushi grill shreveport — Restaurant in Shreveport

I dined at this restaurant today and although I have had take out a number of times here, my dine in experience was not good. Chris was my waiter. From the moment he came to the table, his tone, facial expressions and bodg language was negative. When I placed my order, any questions I had were answered in a tone to reiterate what was on the menu. As we ate, Chris periodically checked in with us, but style very dry and unapproachable. Upon receiving my ticket, I ordered a to go order - since he never asked if I needed anything else - and waited. When Chris brought my order out, I asked if he was the manager? He immediately said yes. I said okay. He asked if there was a problem? I said no. My thought was NO, because if you're the manager and your attitude ia like this, what is the point of telling you. So, when I got my ticket, I noted what I experienced on the back. I did not leave him a tip because I wholeheartedly believe your service is a reflection of your tip, and I ALWAYS tip very well. I noted that on my note to him, too. Here is the finale...When I checked my to go order, there was no yum yum sauce in my bag. As I stated, I have order from this restaurant a number of times and I am always asked how much would I like. When I came back inside to ask for the yum yum sauce, Chris went on the attack, because he read my note. Chris explained to me that I had cost him money by serving me, he said yum yum sauce is 50 cents each, he clapped his hands at me and told me to have a good day. That was the most energy I had out of Chris ALL DAY!! But he had me very confused. I stood there and let him know I wanted 3 yum yum sauces. I went back to my car to get my receipt to see if he charged me for the sauce on my dine in order, because I knew he was lying, and this guy came out to my car!!!! His response to me was, "I am going to give you this yum yum sauce and kill your rudeness with kindness." Chris, thanks for being extra, but that's what you should have done upon our initial interaction. Ichiban, if this man is a reflection of how you operate your business, you are in a bad situation. I am a connoisseur of great restaurants and your food is amazing. Service from Chris...

I’m gonna assume I came on the wrong day. Last time I was here, total five star experience. Today, not so much. First, the waiter automatically brought a miso. Which was fine, except I was planning on ordering a large. That worked out well as I got two and there was no charge on the ticket. Yay! Next problem. The sushi roll was fine. Not good, but fine. Was monsterously largo tho, to the point where I could barely get the pieces in my mouth. With most things, people like extra. Sushi isn’t really one of those things. Then I ordered a noodle dish very specifically with no onions. And I received a noodle dish with just some onions instead, drowning in teriyaki sauce. Blehk. Couldn’t finish it. Also when said dish arrived in its little bowl, my waiter carried it with his thumb well IN the bowl. Now I hated waitressing for the blessedly brief time I did it, but even I know you carry the damn bowl from the bottom. Yuck. No one wants a big thumbprint in their excessive teriyaki sauce! Also, when he collected my leavings, he clearly saw where I picked out the onions and laid them on a napkin. He picked up the used napkin and turned it over into the bowl. No apology made for the duck up. Will look for waiter and cook before committing to eating here again. So...

I’ve been going here religiously since for about 8 years now and the service I got yesterday was so bad I will NEVER be back. Our waitress, a young short haired Asian girl, forgot about our table multiple times. I asked to add cream cheese to my order and she clearly forgot and had the chef just stuff pieces of cream cheese into the already made roll so it was literally falling apart. Three other tables who had showed up after us got their meals from the hibachi grill before my husband got his and it was cold by the time she finally brought it out. Our drinks were not once refilled. I asked for eel sauce and she brought out teriyaki, when I went to the sushi bar to ask her for EEL sauce again, she was extremely rude and at the end of the meal she got another waiter to bring us the check because I assume she was tired of me complaining. I’ve never had such bad service in my life, it completely ruined my favorite restaurant. We will absolutely...
