I have been a customer for 12 plus years and always order the same thing to drink - Venti Javechip frappacino. So much so that my local go to started welcoming me as "Javechip Jeff". With that being said, I know what it tastes like. This review is about this particular Starbucks in the Southern area of Shreveport, LA off of US Interstate 49. It was mid-afternoon and I went through the drive through. The parking lot had one car. It was taking longer than usual but I stuck with it cus I was jonesing and hungry. I ordered The frap, a sausage egg and cheese sandwich and Banana nut bread. I asked for room temperature when they asked if I wanted it heated. I get to the window quicker than the line had been moving. I paid and expected the banana nut bread to be handed right out. It wasn't, and so the wait began. Remember, the only customers were in the drive through and the one car in the parking lot. This car turned out to only have one person. Now it has been a few minutes. I can see two of the staff just standing there. Then, the frappe is handed to me while she told me the food would be just a bit longer. I thought that was weird since I didn't want the banana bread heated and enough time had passed for the sandwich to be heated or at least almost done. By this time I had had several sips of the frappe. It was not right. 12 plus years tells me this. When the two bags of food arrive minutes later, it's hot. So hot that I check the banana bread. It's hot too! How hard is it to take the bread out of the plastic and put it into a bag? I drive around and go inside. I ask for a room temperature piece and tell them the frappe is wrong. This has happened before and they make another and it's correct. This time it is not. I go ahead and leave to go to my event but places the frappe in my car fridge (I drive a lot). The same kid that was holding up the espresso machine earlier is now holding up the register. I ask him if there is a manager I can speak to. He goes in the back and returns saying "she's coming" I thank him and she arrives. Same person that remade the frappe wrong. She says she recognizes me. I said this frapp was still wrong so I brought it back. I said please make a Venti Javechip frapp normal without my adjustments. No whip and add a shot. I ask for the shot to be put in before the milk. I want more coffee flavor, not more frapp. There is a difference. She brings over the third attempt after doing the normal cleaning that they do. She hands it to me without a straw, again. I am still near the register like before. I tasted it and it was still off. I concluded that my buds may be off since I had been chewing gum. The correct taste never came. I paid $18 for this stuff. The frapp with a shot is about $7. Truly disappointed in this locations inability to serve what...
Read moreThis morning I went inside the store. It is my birthday! I ordered a double shot on ice asked for no classic syrup add white mocha. I wanted it to be a venti! I waited for my drink and the barista called my name already super unfriendly. It was a venti cup with ice and 2 shots of espresso. I told her I donât think this is mine. I asked for a venti double shot on ice. She looked at me rolled her eyes and rudely said what does this look like thatâs exactly what it is! 2 shots of espresso over ice in a venti cup. I said no maâam a double shot on ice in a venti size is 5 shots of espresso. She said no it isnât. I even pulled out the Starbucks app and showed her what I was talking about. She said so what do you want? All I would be adding is milk not more shots of espresso. I was done trying to argue I just said can I just please get my money back. She then sarcastically smiled at me and said âgladly!â Then went to the same girl that rang me up and told her to refund my money I wasnât satisfied. The lady that rang me up immediately started apologizing to me and was trying to make it right. I was trying to hold back tears and just said no thank you. You see my husband and I were on our way to southern hills animal clinic with our 13 year old dog knowing we were having to put her down unexpectedly. My emotions were on over drive. I just wanted a coffee I wanted something positive on my birthday and workers are usually so sweet and I just needed the pick me up. The girl that rang me up was SUPER sweet! The barista who made my âcoffeeâ unfortunately was not. I just got back in the truck and started bawling. Long story short it takes ZERO effort to be kind, ZERO!!! You never know what battles someone is dealing with and she could have been dealing with one of her own but it gave her no right to be...
Read moreUsually this location has done a pretty decent job and Iâm rather understanding that sometimes we all have our off-days. With that being said, the Mrs. mobile ordered two hot drinks, a lunch sandwich and some pastries. She arrived in time to see the drinks being made and saw something of note: for her drink, she ordered it with almond milk; the barista initially poured one of the dairy milks into the canister for steaming, but soon realized it needed to be almond, instead.
After that realization, the barista poured the dairy milk back into its original jug and proceeded to fill the canister with almond milk without rinsing it out (bad move for any customer who may suffer from any dairy issues đ¤˘âŚnot to mention whatever may come from pouring the dairy milk back into its jugâŚmaybe just set aside for the next upcoming order calling for dairy đ¤).
After receiving the drinks, the wife continued to patiently wait for the sandwich and pastriesâŚand waitâŚand waitâŚand wait!𤨠She indicated she waited for approx 15 mins (with numerous eye contacts with the staff) before the person working the oven finally approached her and asked her name, only to be notified that ordered sandwich was out of stock.
Shortly after that exchange, she received the rest of her original and amended order, but a little less happy. Hopefully this was just a one-off and whatever team she/we catch next time will be more on...
