I have to share this, I hate doing reviews because I have a business of my own , and I know how hard it is to run one , but this is not acceptable . My 3 boys and I visited this location on Christmas morning, the restaurant was very busy so I waited in the car with 2 of my kids , while my oldest (16) waited inside for a table . After 20 minutes he came outside and said we can come I he had our table. When we returned someone else was sitting there, an older man. My son told him we had been waiting , and he had already been sitting there and told the waitress he was just going outside to get his family. The waitress name was Kat , she told the man he could sit there anyway . I also told him I had saw him arrive just a few minutes ago , he walked in front of my car . He didn’t care and was not getting up and the waitress did nothing. A nice lady behind us gave us her table . So when Kat came to our table for drinks I asked her why did she give the table away so fast , I come there all the time and that has never happened. She responded rudely saying she doesn’t hold tables and she has no control over where people sit so I just asked her nicely if I could get another waitress and she said I will have to wait for another section because this is her table and will just get the manager and walked away. She then returned saying the manager was too busy too talk to me and wasn’t coming . I told her , I never asked for a manager , you did…. Then I said can you just take my kids order and again she just walked away. The next thing I know Shreveport SPD walks in and tells me and my kids on Christmas morning that we must leave or be arrested . I asked why and they said because I had been asked repeatedly to leave and I said I have not been asked to leave once. To treat people this way is not acceptable , the manager called the police on me and my kids without ever talking to us or even looking in our faces . Her name is Jennifer. Jennifer has many complaints on mistreating customers at this location and it seems she has a bad track record as a manager. Waffle House you will and must do something . Read moreGood morning, I just want to share my overall experience with your company and your staff you had working this morning at 313 W Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, Shreveport, LA 71106. My son had his Baptism today and every Sunday we come here after church and enjoy your food. Today Sunday May 7, 2023 at 1125 we walked in and signs were taped on the door, ( Dine- In ONLY. I walked in and 3 people were waiting, they informed me that the staff had them waiting on purpose I didn't believe them. So, we waited patiently, after 1135 other people that was behind us had gotten a seat, which was poor service. I then had to address them so I had to ask the staff to clean the table in a loud setting (voice). Immediately after I was able to get their attention to clean the table, that was dirty 25 minutes or longer when we walked in. One of the staff stated and if all parties isn't in here, we will not be able to service you. A staff associate cleaned the table 5 minutes after I had to make an announcement. While cleaning the table the staff informed me that 4 employees called out today. She asked how many will be seated I informed her 4, she then handed 2 menus. The staff member that stated if all parties are not here in time, she approached the table and stated it again to me, this time she said if everyone is not here we will have you get up and give your table to someone else and you will have to wait again. She stated this to me in front of my son and other customers. I had to leave, but wanted to make sure my party had the table before I left. I received a call from my son telling me, that the staff did not service them at ALL, NO drinks, food, nothing for 20 to 25 minutes. He informed me that they service other people that came in after them. I wanted to immediately leave and go elsewhere; however, my son loves the Waffle House, so he wanted to stay. This is a sad day for my son to experience such poor service. All I can do is shake my head and pray for those who actually did this, it is really sad that you cannot get customer service in a well known restaurant. I most definitely will not go to another...
Read more0 stars!!! I placed a to-go order two hours ago, and I’m just sitting down to enjoy my food. My grits were left off my order, I immediately called to alert someone that I would pick my grits up at a later date. After 4 calls, no one answered. I drove all the way back up there and asked for a refund, because I didn’t want to drive all the way back to my office with hot grits, and the rest of my food cold. The night shift manager, who appeared to be under the influence of something, says they can’t refund me, I would have to be inconvenienced once more, by waiting until the morning manager came in. I stated that was fine and to print my receipt. I also stated that I made several phone calls to the store prior to coming, which again is taking from me, by using more gas. She stated they didn’t receive a call and walked to the back. I was under the impression she was going to check the phone and come back to finish our conversation. The worker who’d originally took my order became snappy, raising her voice at me and I assertively told her not to speak me to in that tone and to get her manager. The manager returns and proceeds to call SPD on me. I’m assuming because I’m a Black woman, they felt threatened because I advocated for me being inconvenienced. I’m not surprised at their behavior, they are employees at Waffle House, with known unprofessionalism .However, Black women and men be aware of this. I remained on premises and waited for SPD.
