Sushi Bistro — Restaurant in Shreveport

This is my new favorite sushi restaurant in town! Unfortunately my absolute favorite sushi place recently closed. I was unsure if Id find a place to fill that void that was reasonably priced and fresh, but I have found that place that checks off all those boxes and MORE! Unfortunately i do not have pictures because we were so hungry 😆, but In all we ordered the Rocky II Roll, California roll, smoked salmon roll, salmon skin roll, plus inari, unagi, and tamago sushi as well as miso soup and salad. Everything was fresh and delicious and i was so excited to see the inari, unagi, and tamago sushi on the menu. Out of the places i have been in SBC area, this is the first Ive seen these items offered. They were so delicious! They have such a wide variety of menu items; alot of the more traditional Japanese sushi as well (like the 3 mentioned). My friend who isnt a fan of tofu skin (the inari) said that this was the first tofu skin thing she actually really liked. (They also have the unagi dish as well where they serve the unagi(eel) over rice!! I will definitely be back for that). The prices are pretty reasonable too. It is comparable to my favorite place that is closed. Cheaper than the other popular sushi places ive been to here. The owner is so sweet and kind, it is her and her family running the restaurant. Currently after lunch they are kind of "closed ish" due to there not being enough servers (it is basically just her there) we came at that timeframe it was just me and my friend and we didn't see the sign till walking in but she let us stay and just warned us it might take a little longer which we didnt mind at all and it was worth the wait. I HIGHLY recommend this place. PLEASE yall come check out sushi bistro. If more people come though I'd love to see the place grow, and i definitely dont want SBC to lose this little gem so please come...

I absolutely hate to write this review…but I had an experience that will make me never come back to this restaurant. I frequent this place and frequented it 8 years ago when it was opened under the same ownership going by a different name. I have ordered the same thing every single time….chicken yaki soba. I don’t stray from that as my entree. I was given chicken yaki udon tonight and told the waitress that a mistake was made immediately when my food was brought to me. She essentially gaslit me and didn’t try to fix it even when I made it clear I wasn’t eating what she brought. I sat on it while my daughter ate and decided to stick up for myself which I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve done that. She got the manager/owner who I know has seen us in there many times and she gave no apology, asked me if I wanted the food remade or just removed from the bill, just took the food, and walked off and went back to the sushi bar. I almost didn’t want to complain because I can tell she is hard on the workers by the vibes and the waitress was nice, but should have fixed it from the get go. I still tipped her above average, but I hate that I won’t be back. It just doesn’t sit right to have to sit there and watch and hear the management and employees discuss how as the customer you are not telling the truth even though I know...

I have ordered from this establishment SEVERAL times... I have given them NUMEROUS times to make ammends as I reside less than 10 minutes from this new business address... My orders were always WRONG... I CLEARLY said, "NO mayonnaise"... And they did NOT listen !!! They blamed it on an employee...they NEVER offered ANY ammends towards this discrepancy... My LAST straw was this evening...when I spent OVER $70 ... My order was STILL wrong... several items were missing...sushi was BEYOND skimpy in portions [especially the tamago which is an egg omelet... pretty inexpensive whenever it comes to 'sushi' !!!] the female owner/sushi chef was HIGHLY argumentative with me via phone after I commented for the third time towards my order being in subordinate. I have been an AVID sushi consumer since 1994...and have lived in 5 states... WORST Sushi Restaurant EVER ! I WILL NEVER FREQUENT THIS ESTABLISHMENT EVER AGAIN !!!I I rarely post a review ... BUT...
