We arrived in the parking lot and there is parking along the building and the backside of The Vintage. We were welcomed immediately upon entering the restaurant. It's really nice on the inside and they offer a small patio. (The weather was really nice today) But we decided to dine inside since it was our first time. The bathroom were nice and clean. Our Server's name was Joe. He greeted us immediately and offered us drinks. Joe notice that we were new and gave ample time to look at the menu and made a few suggestions of his own. Everything was delicious and fresh. I don't know why but I LOVE their California Roll, it's just one of those regular rolls I had dozens of time but this time it was really well prepared. We ordered the SUSHI MAX combo it has an assortment of sashimi, a tuna roll and a California Roll ($24.95) and the CATERPILLAR ROLL: eel, cream cheese and eel sauce it was okay. All combos come with your choice of a soup or a salad. The menu offered an assortment of entrees, udon and bento boxes. LUNCH SPECIALS ARE NOT AVAILABLE ON SUNDAY. But the prices were reasonable with their highest ticket item was 22.95, they had a full service bar with different cocktails and beers too. There dining room is HUGE. We will be back to try their other selections soon. Thank you Joe and the Kitchen Staff it was truly an...

If you're a fan of sushi, Sushi Gen is a must-visit spot in Shreveport. This restaurant offers a wide range of sushi and other Japanese dishes, all of which are made with fresh ingredients and expertly prepared.

The menu at Sushi Gen features a variety of sushi rolls, sashimi, and nigiri, as well as other Japanese dishes such as udon noodles, teriyaki chicken, and tempura. One standout option is the "Shreveport Roll," which is a delicious combination of tuna, salmon, avocado, and masago.

In addition to the food, Sushi Gen also offers a variety of refreshing drinks, including sake, beer, and other cocktails. The service is attentive and friendly, with staff members who are happy to make recommendations and answer any questions you may have about the menu.

The atmosphere at Sushi Gen is modern and sleek, with a contemporary decor and a sushi bar where you can watch the chefs at work. The prices are also very reasonable, making it a great option for a casual dinner or lunch.

Overall, Sushi Gen is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for delicious sushi and Japanese cuisine in Shreveport. With a wide range of dishes, refreshing drinks, and a modern atmosphere, it's definitely worth checking out. Highly...

Steak Hibachi comes with "our vegetable." Turns out that means 70% onions. I tried to ask for more of the other vegetables but I got "sorry, chef says that's how it comes." Well oh well, I just won't order it anymore. Not pictured: the one piece of broccoli I ate. Also, their calamari is awful.. do not order.

Small update: They did comp it after I complained again, but really all I wanted was a couple of more vegetables. I would have much rather paid for the food I wanted and took some leftovers home like I had planned. It would have cost almost nothing to balance the vegetables and I probably could have gotten it if I had been the type of person to actually make a big deal out of it. Instead I was offered shrugged shoulders and empty apologies, and they ate the entire cost of the meal.. The 4 or 5 pieces of steak I ate were good, and the one piece of broccoli, while slightly under cooked for my taste, was still good.

Another update: It's weird getting a reply two years later, but I do want to clear up that I did not think I was 'king' and certainly didn't 'hurt' your staff. I still think 50% onions is too much, which is why I've never...

First off, our server Kyoko was great ! Of course, we expected nothing less ! For those who do not know, they are back in their original location. They were at the Sonic next door for a time whilst they rebuilt. Both locations are like right next to each other, so it's easy enough to find if you've never been to the original location. Food.... great, as well !! I had the shrimp fried rice. It is one of the best in town ! The Miso soup hits the spot ! Our drinks were refilled in a timely manner ( a small thing, yet the mark of good service). My fave item is the Pink Lady roll. I think it's a roll ( I did not order this time as I was not very hungry). The indoor is a wonderful, cozy atmosphere. Very much as I remember the original. Plenty of good seating and lotsa TVs if you want to watch sports. There is a bar you can sit at. There is an cute outdoor patio. The place is on Line Ave, right next to Chiante. There is plenty of parking. If not right up in front, there is a parking lot, too. Wheel chair accessible. Handicap spaces right up front and easy to get in the restaurant.

After searching far and wide for sushi that was fresh, I found this place on a Google search. I only had 2 items from the menu but they were both very good. Only downside was the size of the more expensive roll. I am used to a much bigger roll at that price point. I had the sweet shrimp sashimi and the sunshine roll. The sweet shrimp was great and they added the eggs as requested which really gives its a much more complex texture and elevates the taste. The sunshine roll was good. With a combination of shoft shell crab on the inside, tuna and eel on top. In many sushi places I have found all eel rolls lacking. I enjoy eel that has been reheated in the oven giving it a nice crispy texture and served warm. Many places I have found in the area don't take this extra step and the eel is limp and room temperature at best. Unfortunately at sushi gen the eel was the same.
