What a phenomenal eating experience. The price is a bit on the pricey side, looking at about 30$ a person on average. But the quality of what you get makes it worth the smaller quantity and larger prices. It's not someplace I would eat at daily, but for a special occasion it's certainly a top pick! Our server, Carlton, was perfect. Very knowledgeable on the menu, never a drink glass empty, always hot bread and butter on the table, you name it. I would have loved to see a few more veggies on my plate, but the fillet I had was superb none the less. One of the best I've ever had, if not THE best I've had. And arguably less expensive then other places around, so no complaints there. But in my opinion the REAL superstar of the show was the desserts! Those cakes are too die for. I would personally come here just for those alone. They were out of the cannoli so couldn't try them, but apparently they're a hot ticket item that's first come first serve. Gotta get in early enough next time to try one, because if they're the same quality as those cakes then it will hands down be the best cannoli in town. I would certainly recommend you save room for dessert if you plan to visit, it's more...
Read moreWe came here to celebrate our daughters sixteenth birthday. Upon arriving we asked to include a chair for an additional guest which in turn upset our server. The staff member bringing out our bread and water was very rude and disrespectful. When our table asked for more butter she snapped at us like children stating “I just brought out three butter bowls and you already went through them” Then we had to ask for menus after sitting there for an hour. When they brought them out they only gave us enough menus for half of our table. They informed us this was all the menus they had available and we’d have to share them. Took one and a half hours to get our food, it was all cold, and very bland. The server forgot to put in my mother’s order and rather than taking responsibility and being apologetic he blamed it on the kitchen. Worse, he asked her if she even wanted him to put it in because it would take a long time for her to receive it. At this point she told him to just forget it and left hungry. Then it took thirty minutes to receive our checks after having to ask for them. Worst service and food I've had in a very long time. We were very disappointed to...
Read moreThe food is overpriced and the waitstaff did not have knowledge of the menu. We encountered long periods of time with nobody in the dinner area during dinner service. We called ahead and booked a reservation for two. We were seated at a drafty round table for 6 in the corner by an exit door and a window. The pasta dish ( Capellini Con Pollo Primavera - Angel Hair pasta tossed in broth butter sauce, with chicken, fresh julienne of vegetables and fresh herbs.) ordered was atrocious which was recommended by the waiter. We waited way too long for the dinner to come out so we did not order a replacement pasta and sent the item back.
The veal special was delicious although it had too much mushroom and crawfish (unsure of the quality of these toppings for the price paid). The scallops and sauce they were basted in was tasty. The strawberry mousse cake was delicious which the restaurant comped for the issue with the pasta dinner. Atmosphere and the pianist added an ambience during the dinner service.
The restaurant misses the mark on details yet still charges exorbitant prices. The overall experience of the dining...
