Dunkin' — Restaurant in Shrewsbury

Please spare yourself. Stopped off 83N, this location is not off the highway, but rather a decent drive out of the way. Placed an order for an in-store advertised menu item “salted caramel cream cold brew” only to be told they didn’t have the salted caramel, but could use regular caramel instead. When the employee rang up my order, he added an additional charge for the caramel flavor and remarked he didn’t have a button for the $3 drink because he didn’t have salted caramel. My expectation was that we would get the iced coffee with the caramel flavor at the advertised salted caramel price as the employee was the one to suggest the substitution; and it is the store’s responsibility to have the product available or provide a reasonable substitute. I further didn’t appreciate the employee’s rude attitude towards me when I questioned the additional charge. After being told that there was “nothing he could do” to give me the advertised price, he angrily decided to take the caramel flavor out the order completely and just give me the plain coffee. Needless to say, I won’t return and hope my review can save others in the future. Also please note that while the establishment was clean, the bathrooms were out of toilet paper and when I asked for it to be replenished, I was stared at blankly as though it was an odd request. I needed a hot coffee early in the morning because I had been driving for a while. This place opened at 5 am and that was prefect for me.

I stopped at 5:07 a.m. and went inside. There were four employees busily working and one customer in front of me.

I waited as usual but then I kept waiting to even be acknowledged. So I decided that maybe I was doing it wrong and I went to the kiosk to place my order. Once I started my order at the kiosk an employee asked me from the main counter, “how can I help you?”

I placed my order and it was a very sterile and cold process. My two doughnuts were quickly put in a bag and casually tossed on the counter. Then the employee walked away.

So I waited for my coffee. Eventually the employee returned a few moments later and made my coffee but again casually placed it on the counter as if to imply, here is your coffee, now go away.

I’m not asking to be treated special but to be treated as if I am not worth your time or I have offended you is unacceptable.

I was a weekend customer here at this restaurant, it was great. Good food and everyone was nice until one day when I did a pick up order they said it wasn’t ready yet and to pull forward. I watched the gentleman come out and another customer come out of his car and handed him a bag (my food) that apparently the customer grabbed in error. Not the restaurants fault I understand. But Not only did the owner or employee whoever he was not even go back into the store, he came to my car window and with THE SAME BAG that the other customer just handed back to him which means they went through it (sandwiches were clearly unwrapped and touched and wrapped back up) and handed the bag to me. I told him no way, I want new food, someone already opened this and went through it. He walked back in the store for literally 3 seconds and came back out and I left. When I got home I found that handed me the same bag. Same opened disheveled sandwiches and everything. Disgusting. I threw it in the trash and Haven’t been back since.
