Paquette Farm & Deli — Restaurant in Shrewsbury

I rarely leave reviews for any business, it has to be exceptionally good or exceptionally bad and in this case it was the latter. I went in apparently a few minutes before closing picked some oranges and a pint of blueberries while I was shopping the guy closed and locked the doors behind me which kind of sketched me out a bit but when I got home and tried to dump the blueberries into a bowl for my son I realized that it was a brick of mildewed rotted unusable food with a handful of fresh blueberries scattered on top…? I couldn’t even empty it out to recycle the cardboard container the berries were so heavily mildewed to it that I had to throw the entire package away like a brick…. I was pretty aggravated to say the least so I decided to peel the oranges and give him those instead and found that they were rotted and unsuitable to consume As well. I wish I could leave less than one star because I found this to be an utterly inexcusably...

What a great place! I can't believe I've been driving past it for months.

We got a couple deli sandwiches. $5 for an outstanding Italian sub. I love Italians, get them whenever I can. This one was top notch. Nice, crusty bread. Fresh cut meats and cheeses. Crisp veges. Just perfect.

The also have a market stand for local veges, fruits, coolers for dairy and meat products.

There was a bakery counter too, though we didn't try that one. I asked the staff and they said they source their baked goods locally and rotate their stock frequently.

I also noticed a sign for a local community program where you can get fresh veges 2x a week for a fixed price. Always wanted to try something like that, so I'll definitely look into it more (check their website...

Fresh produce with locally grown options. Very good prices, especially for the local items. Awesome fresh made cookies, pastries, and individual pizzas. The deli is quick and the prices are comparable to stop n shop and other stores (a lot of boars head meats and cheeses). They also sell deli sandwiches and homemade pies I have not tried. The staff are all helpful and even offered to carry my groceries out since I had my 2 month old in the car seat whom I was carrying.
