We have shied away from this place primarily because of the generic name. Kinda like avoiding a business named Joe's Brain Surgery Center or something similar to that. Curiosity finally got the best of us and we stopped in here at Vincent's Deli for lunch. Upon walking in we noticed dirty dishes piled atop multiple tables, and the interior of the place is quite cramped. We had sat down at a table and waited almost 10 minutes for a server, but none showed up. We then noticed a couple of ladies come in to the restaurant, one sat down at a table while the other lady placed their order at the counter, and then she brought 2 drink glasses to her friends table. So we then placed our orders at the counter, filled our drink glasses at the dispenser in the hallway, and waited for our food to be delivered to our table. My beef panini was very good quality shaved medium rare roast beef which was very tasteful, and the cheddar cheese had a good bold taste to it. Howsumbutever, the quantity of that shaved roast beef was on the scant side, not nearly filling the bread it was served on. My wifes tuna salad panini was perfectly grilled with a generous amount of tasteful tuna that was very moist and delicious. I was pretty much irritated that I had to pay a 20% tip when I used my Mastercard to pay the bill. At a full service restaurant or grille it is not uncommon for us to pay a 50% tip to our server for good service. But here at Vincent's Deli we had to pay a tip, even though the only table service we received was when the employee delivered our sandwiches...
Read moreThis place was recommended so we travel some distance to go there. We ordered the first appetizer on the menu (Coconut Shrimp) and were told they don’t offer it anymore but haven’t taken it off the menu. Ordered a Greek salad and had it split between two plates. It came with one cherry tomato n we each got a half. They show a lovely pizza with mozzarella, and fresh basil on the menu. Matter of fact many of their menu items showed lots of fresh basil on their an internet menu. We were informed they had no fresh basil!!! What? You’re an Italian restaurant n your menu photos show lots of fresh basil. And it’s early Friday evening when your stock should be full for the weekend. Instead of leaving we ordered an alternative pizza. Their pizza was very thin!, but burnt on one whole side. We didn’t even eat it all. I ordered a Pepsi…they only had coke products, of course. Greatly disappointed. Will not return or recommend to anyone. We dined in. Staff very nice and apologetic for not having anything we ordered. Menus and internet need...
Read morewe were on a nice drive sunday afternoon and stopped up right across the PA border at Vincent's
we started with the calamari, which we read about in prior reviews, and it did not disappoint
the calamari was extremely good, very surprising if i am being honest
my girlfriend had the shrimp scampi pizza which looked great and tasted even better she said
when we arrived it was just the two of us but many others joined for a sunday afternoon pizza, most opting to be seated on the patio outside (good choice as the brick oven pizza can heat up the inside)
the owner helped me decide my sandwich, he insisted i upgraded my cheesesteak to add garlic bread instead of a regular sub roll and that change really made a difference
overall very nice place, surprisingly amazing food for such a hole in the wall,...
