Silver Dollar Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Sidney

Great downtown location in the historic district of Sidney. Parking was available on the street. The location was not very busy. We arrived and seated ourselves since no one greeted us. The seating was comfortable and clean. A Server approached us and, while friendly and efficient, was very matter-of-fact and didn't really make any suggestions or have any feedback on the menu. The menus were in pretty rough shape.

Our food was good, but not great, with the burger being better than the chicken strips, which were over-fried and seemed to have the taste of older oil. The fries were very good.

The overall establishment could be much cleaner, including the bathrooms and the nooks and crannies that are not...

Ate here a few years ago with my son and remembered it was pretty good. Stayed the night in Sidney, so decided to go back. Special was a double cheeseburger with fries. Figured they were probably 1/4 lb patties...WRONG! Had to be 1/3 lb and oh were they GOOD!!!! These are definitely made in house and good thing I have a big mouth to be able to take a bite of this large burger. Sat at the bar, both guys were working were great. Great food! Service was fast and the waitress was kind and knowledgeable about the menu. She knew exactly how long our order would take to prepare and had great suggestions on menu items. The double bacon cheeseburgers were amazing! All of the burger toppings are given on the side (onion, ketchup, mustard, pickles) so you can add them as you please. Buffalo chips were a well executed copycat of Arby's curly fries, with a little extra heat. So good! The crinkle cut fries lacked salt, but still worth eating.
