Sahara Cafe & Mediterranean Foods — Restaurant in Siesta Key

I don’t love Mediterranean food so I was not thrilled my co-worker picked here to eat, but WOW!! The food was outstanding. Probably one of the best pitas with Chicken I’ve had outside of a trip to Morocco. I also tried their falafel and it was cooked & textured perfectly. You order & pay at the counter and they will bring your food to your table. It isn’t large inside but the food was authentic and delicious, and you cannot beat the prices. Great food & a little hidden gem!! Apparently this is a 2nd location off the original restaurant in downtown. So glad I found it. Much better alternative to the chains on Clark Rd. Conveniently located off Honore. Forgot to post my first visit however I was back in less than a week! My meals were fresh, made to order and very flavorful. I was so excited to find out that Sahara cafe opened a new location in south Sarasota. We had been long time fans of the original restaurant.
