Let me start off by saying that if I could give zero stars, I would. Dignity and genuine honesty is something I take into deep consideration when visiting a restaurant. We were told that this restaurant completely plagiarized their whole entire brand based off the existing and well known, popular Thai restaurant in Bradenton. They rebranded and changed it into their own so called "gourmet" Thai restaurant while fully copying this restaurant with no copying rights. I don't mind the normal dishes since every restaurant all has similar Thai food, but their chef's special entrees, are literally word for word the exact same name as the original restaurant located in Bradenton. Their ingredients are not fresh and the restaurant is definitely not up to the gourmet standard. Will not be visiting ever again and we don't support copy cat scammers, nor should you! The original authentic restaurant is in Sarasota we have been their with our friends and family a couple times and completely loved it, great service and true authentic food. It is located in the San Marco Plaza, the rest you go figure out. Hope they do something about their scammer business cause it is incredibly pathetic how they managed to do all this...
Read moreFirst you walk in because you received a flyer in the mail giving you a free appetizer with two full dinner orders. You sit down, first thing the waitress says oh we’re not honoring that flyer. My question is to her then why did they send it out? She goes well as a mistake, but we’re not on earning it. Oh, OK. so I order a single towel beer and she says no we don’t have any of those we’re out of those do you wanna Chang beer, so I’ve never heard of a chain beer she was oh it’s very good. I’m like well when I was in Thailand I never heard of chain beer but nonetheless, I’ll try it. It’s OK. my wife had the pad Thai with shrimp, it was good not fantastic or outstanding, but it was good, no doubt. I had the fried rice with pork bland, not much for ingredient is average at best. I hate to say it. Atmosphere was Hoham, I really can’t say anything great about it, but I can’t say anything terrible about it other than the fact that they shouldn’t send out flyers and then look at you when you have them and say sorry we’re not gonna honor that. That’s a hell of a way to run...
Read moreHigh hopes for Thai-licious, but the experience fell short. The appetizer started things off nicely—egg rolls were crisp and flavorful. Unfortunately, it was downhill from there. Among our group, opinions were mixed: one-third thought it was bad, another third said it was just okay, and the final third thought it was good.
The Pad Thai was dry. The tofu stir-fry was disappointing; the tofu tasted old and seemed like it had been cooked multiple times. The Khao Mun Gai looked promising but the dipping sauce was not very good, and the Khao Mun Crispy Chicken was underwhelming. The chicken pieces were small and looked like stir-fry cuts that had just been dipped in batter—definitely not the crispy, juicy pieces we expected.
The redeeming dish was the Drunken Noodles with Duck—full of flavor.
Overall, the experience was just so-so. That said, I’m willing to give it another try and explore more of the menu. The place has potential, and I hope they make a few...
