Salt of the Earth Sarasota — Local services in Siesta Key

Serious Disappointment from a wellness facility. I purchased a 3 pack for $120 for their Main Room in January of last year. I cancelled my first appointment because of auto-immune issues. My health deteriorated from there…chronic fatigue, chronic cough that worsens during allergy season/red tide, and I had shingles (which is contagious so was advised not to go out in public). Last month, when I was finally well enough to schedule, my pack had expired (Jan 2023). I went to the facility to see if they might make an exception in my case…even if only for partial use. The women at the front desk took my information in order to check with the owner. Two weeks later I still had not heard back. When I followed up, I was told the owner could not honor it. I find it shocking that a supposed wellness facility that seemed welcoming and genuine wouldn’t make an exception when a customers health issues impact the use of a purchase. The owner has nothing to lose by allowing me to use the pack as the sessions were already paid for. Instead, I lose $120 and she gets free money. That doesn’t seem very genuine to me. Would they rather I come sick to a room full of people just so I can use it?!?

Response to owner…not sure who’s account you’re looking at but I did not buy a package and get a full refund for it in 2021. I did however purchase a package in Nov that I used up with my friend. Not sure if you’re just trying to save face...

I did an unlimited monthly pass of the salt bed combination with the light treatments for the month of January as I relocated from up north and have a rare auto-immune that is triggered by cold weather and stress. I cannot speak highly enough about this business and the wellness modalities they provide to their clients. Dianna, the owner, is a wealth of knowledge around salt therapy and invites additional holistic healing events at the salt room. All rooms are clean and decoratively calming/peaceful. I have found a little piece of meditative heaven in south sarasota, a place to come to for my wellness and a break from stressors. They offer various salt lamps, incense, wellness tinctures/oils from high end distributors, and crystal jewelry. The ambiance is welcoming/inviting and I have found myself striking conversations with other clients as we waited for an event (my favorite offered event is once a month with with a highly qualified vocalist who utilizes her voice along with frequency crystal bowls to attune chakras/energy). The main large salt room is an actual salt room (all walls, the ceiling, the floor is composed of thick almost never ending large blocks of healing salt). SALT OF THE EARTH is an absolutely wonderful spot in the Sarasota,Florida area to go to in fact one of my very favorite. I have been going for a month every day to see if there was a difference. And yes I certainly have . The main one is that I am so relaxed . The business has many amenities salt bed where you lay on heated Himalayan salt, light therapy for inflammation, pains you may have and many more issues, salt booth, and a huge salt infused room with comfortable recliners ,relaxing music and nice soft throws that will easily put you to sleep for the 45 minutes. Salt OF THE EARTH is a beautiful facility and you feel RELAXATION as you walk in the door from the smiles of the wonderful staff. Many gifts to purchase for that special person in your life such as lavender scented salt, lighted salt rocks all shapes, warm foot lights, oils and many more . Would be great for girlfriends day out, celebrate a birthday or anniversary for that special someone in your life. So This is the place for you...
