Kirby's Sandwich Shop — Restaurant in Sikeston

I travel for work and try to eat at local establishments as much as I can. This was a nice little surprise as you walk through the door you were greeted with a nostalgic old school diner. I was told I could sit wherever I want within minute or two someone had taken my drink order and explained to me what they had. I chose the Kirby burger with cheese, grilled onions and french fries and a brewed iced tea. My meal came out hot and correct. It was absolutely delicious.

I read one person’s review that said that three of their burgers came without patties and it was very expensive, I’m going to say that that had to be false as the service that I had was excellent and as far as price goes if you pay under $20 for a homemade double burger with fries and a drink that is awesome . We were out of town decided to stop for a bite . Found it on Google . Prices were much cheaper on Google then in the place . There is no menu . There is two boards with lunch n breakfast on them but the only meal combo they had was 2 eggs n bng . .bacon was extra 2.79 . No lunch combos if u want a burger gotta order fries n drink separate . . They didn't pair any food with any sides n no drinks come with anything . It ended up being hi priced because of this . The food was good . The place was small n quiet . The staff seemed to have a issue with my friends baby who was energetic but mostly just giggled the whole time but they made it seem as if we were interrupting the peace . I don't feel like this is for travelers . Like they see to thier regulars n that's it . Also no restroom ! And they take 15% gratuity anything over 40$ and I almost didn't see that sign so...

Their burgers are really good and the restaurant is clean, but I didnt have a very good experience with the staff. I had ordered a burger and cheese fries and I was brought cheese sticks instead. I told the waitress and she brought out some cheese fries, no problem right? Well, except for the cheese on top wasnt exactly melted. I was able to just peel it off the fries. But that wasnt what made me give this a 3 instead of a 4. I went up to pay, with my friend, and since the waitress hadnt fixed it on the tab, I told the other girl behind the counter what happened and got charged $12. My friend had ordered 1 more side than me and a soda instead of water and was charged only a little over $10. So I got ripped off and my cheese was cold and honestly the only good thing was the burger. The cheese sticks...
