Manager is sloppy & unprofessional. Walking around on her phone in front of customers like she doesnt care. We visited this establishment one evening after church & we will never ever be back. We arrived around 7:45 & upon entering we see two other groups of people waiting in line. We joined the line & waited the better part of 20 minutes before some woman (I'm assuming a manager) walked up & very rudely asked how many people were in our party. The people in front of us told her that we were all separate & there were so many of us because they had taken so long to seat anyone. Keep in mind we got there at 7:45. They close at 9. They treated us as if we had showed up at 8:30. Little do they know I always tip $50 on Sunday nights after church but there was no way I was going to reward such poor service. We had just finished a good Holy Ghost filled apostolic service & we were ravenous. We would have taken MAYBE half an hour to eat & we would have been gone had we not waited 20 minutes just to be seated. The service that followed was TERRIBLE. I mean I waitressed for about 10 years & I have never seen such poor management. Oh then she makes us pull out our filthy cell phone to go to their menu on the website instead of giving us a paper menu like we received every other time we've been here. What if we didn't use cell phones? Let me also add that there were only 3 other tables besides us so they cant say its because they were busy. Ok then we order. Food came out a completely different dish than we ordered. We were mistakenly served unsweet tea. My kids order their pizza everytime we go but this time they microwaved a cheap full size pizza (the kind that's more like a cracker than a crust) & cut it into 4 pieces & that is what my children were served. They didn't even eat it. I mean it was so bad I wished I had just came home & made sandwiches for dinner. My food (once it finally came) had a soapy taste. How do you make refried beans & Spanish rice taste like soap??? I'm giving 2 stars because the gentleman we had as a server was delightful & I could tell he was really trying despite whatever mess was going on in the kitchen. Folks if you're thinking of stopping in for some Mexican please just drive the couple extra miles & go to Munchies. Now they know how to treat their patrons & they are delicious. I recommend the pastor...
Read moreMy cousin took me to this place. He had been here a couple times and liked it so he brought me. It's a nice modern place and we were sat quickly with our party of 9.
It's always tough to order when it's your first time at a new place but I decided on the Fajita & Enchilada plate. Two of my Mexican favs on one plate, how could I resist.
The chips & salsas were brought right out. The chips are the thin white corn type and were very good. They bring a both a red and a green sauce for your dipping pleasure. The red is quite mild and could have used a little more kick and flavor. The green was super mild with hints of sour cream and avocado. Usually I'm in heaven with two different sauces but neither one stood out to me. They were just average and the reason I gave it 4 stars.
The food in the other hand was amazing. The plate came with two enchiladas of your choice. The awesome waitress told me I didn't have to get two of the same enchiladas so I ordered a traditional cheese and a chicken with sour cream sauce. It also included an uncut piece of fajita steak smothered in cheese, rice, & charro style beans. The beef fajita steak, enchiladas, & rice were awesome. The charro beans were a little on the bland side. The rice was different from any Spanish rice I've had. It was very fine. Definitely a plus to the meal.
The service was great and we had a very personable waitress. That always makes a meal better.
I will definitely be back to enjoy some of my Mexican food favorites. And that is all that matters. 😊
Update: I stopped in and tried the Casa Ole Dinner which is two plates of Mexican favorites. The cheese enchiladas were made just how I like them with a mild chili gravy. I enjoyed this...
Read moreSo, my parent-in-laws gave me a gift card to go eat at Casa Ole for my birthday. I was a little hesitant because on occasion, I will see a review of someone from the Silsbee location that has negative things to say, and we haven't been to a Casa Ole in years. With the gift card, this was our moment of truth. Also, I'm very much pregnant. So, in we go, and we get Shalena as our server. We started out with an appetizer, the shrimp, crawfish, and spinach dip. Okay, WOW. This is delicious. They didn't have this the last time we went. They even have enchiladas with this stuff on it. We also got fajita nachos (great), and the stuffed avocado with steak (bland, won't mix the chicken and fajita meats, but good if you pair other things with it), and chicken nuggets kids meal, and overall, we had great food and great service. Shalena was very nice, helpful, and took great care of us.
But again, WOW on the appetizer. My compliments to the chef. We...
