This is the worst Mexican restaurant that I have ever eaten at. The food is definitely sub-par at best. I ordered some enchiladas and they came out cold and unappatizing. Also I had the opportunity to talk with the owner. He was rude and dismissive towards me right off the bat. I have a significant other who used to work at this restaurant. She would tell me how badly the owner would treat her and his other employees. From what I heard he would bully them and treat them as if they were his slaves. If you're seeking employment here, look somewhere else. It will save you a lot of headache and heartache in the long run. Also I heard some of the employees there would spit in people's food to get a few laughs out of it. My significant other told the owner what was going on and he dismissed the issue outright and just swept the issue under the rug. From hearing what my significant other told me and actually meeting with him in person, I'm thinking the owner really is a despicable and deplorable person who cares little about the sanitary conditions of his restaurant, the quality of the food, or the well-being of his employees. The only positive thing I can think of to say about this restaurant is that the interior decorations are decent. Do not waste you're time or money going to this resturant. There's a chance that you can get sick from eating their food! There is another, far better, Mexican restaurant just down the street called the Grinder Mill. Go there instead. You...
Read moreWent here on Sunday starving and hoping for a decent meal. Starving for me usually means even mediocre will taste good. I got the combo plate with taco, green chili and 2 enchiladas. I needed a separate bowl for the water (not gravy, but water from the green chili “stew”) that my food was swimming in - the green chili was tasteless and threatened to make what I hoped I would be good enough enchiladas into a soggy mess. What a disappointment, as they were made with some bland cheese, and the fried egg on top did nothing to elevate the sad enchiladas. I took one bite of the overcooked rice and super thick refried beans and just gave up. Even my pork taco was tasteless and uninspired. It’s not hard to make tacos, but you do need to start with flavorful meat and fresh tortillas (pork was bland, tortilla was stale). The ONLY thing I enjoyed were the chips (salsa was passable but seemed a little like something you’d buy from a jar), and our server who was attentive, offering to bring something else. I politely refused, it wasn’t worth waiting for and my confidence the next dish would be any better was at 0%. I’d much rather see fewer offerings on the menu with a focus on quality rather than a massive selection of dishes so...
Read moreThis place was a recommendation from Jessica, one of the friendly staff at Faywood hot springs, our favorite place to chill out and relax away the stress for a few days.
It is a Mexican restaurant, but burgers are also on the menu and I was craving one. It turns out that the burgers are a bit legendary around there for their size and deliciousness, and my craving was more than satisfied. They start at about $7 with one patty and fries or onion rings, and each additional patty, up to 4 is only 50 cents more. I assumed they were modest in size and ordered a triple. Waitress said they were 1/4 pound each, but actually looked more like 1/2 pounders. I got mine with pepper jack cheese and fresh jalapenos, buy there are lots of options.
The picture speaks for itself, and it was absolutely amazing, as we're the enchiladas the others ordered. Really good onion rings too. If you want a really good lunch at a reasonable price in...
