Adobe Springs — Restaurant in Silver City

This review will be extremely long with Adobe Springs, so strap in. Back story, we are on a javelina hunting trip and are visiting Silver City and have been here two seperate weekends. We came to Adobe Springs on our first weekend and enjoyed the food. We wanted to keep going, however the waitressing staff must have not wanted us to keep going. We tried to come here a second day since the food was good, but they were a little more busy and we had to wait 15-20 minutes per the hostess. This was fine, however we were waiting inside on a cloudy/colder day and were told we had to wait outside or in our car so it didnt get crowded. Mind you we were the only ones waiting. But rules are rules and we waited outside. We ended up waiting nearly 30 min and had to leave so we could get a start on our hunting trip. Today on 1/28/24 we tried again to eat here. We were told when we came in that they had a table, they just needed to clean it. Another girl told the hostess she would clean it, however she proceeded NOT to clean it for 10 min as we stand there looking at the table and the original girl who was going to clean it had to do it. Then we are seated, get our coffee and water and proceed to wait for our waitress so she could take our order, which is another 10-15 min. During our time of waiting for our food, there are two to three other families that come in that have to wait for a table. But these families wait inside and arent told anything about it. Weirdly, it was the same girl who was hosting today that hosted last weekend that told us we couldnt wait inside. All of these things were small annoyances, but things we could brush off. UNTIL we are waiting nearly 50 min for our food after our order was placed. We were told by our waitress that "our food was next" and "it was coming" but we still proceeded to wait. All this would not have been such an issue because we understand sometimes things take a little longer, but first tell your customer why its taking so long. And then it became WORSE when we saw people who came in 20-30 min AFTER us get served, eat and were already paying. The table next to us had the same waitress and they were getting their food served and they came in nearly 30 min after us. We were done at this point. We got up and waited in line at the register to pay. I see our waitress as my husband is paying and ask how much longer would it be and she again says, "oh your food was next." But werent we suppose to be "next" 15 min ago?? My husband was fed up and told her to cancel our order and we would pay for the coffee. She rudely told us "don't even pay for it" and we could go. We tried to pay at the register but were then told by the hostess to just go. No apology for the wait, no accountability, they didnt even bother asking why we were upset. We were so rudely treated. These waitresses had ZERO customer service. They made no acknowledgement that it was taking a long time, and then made no effort to fix the problem. They treated us like we were the problem amd it was our fault that we were being inpatient when I would say we were VERY patient throughout this awful experience. This place has maybe 17 tables in this restaurant and like 7 waitresses. So to me where's the excuse for your crappy service. The manager and owner should save his money and operate with less people because they work like theres only 3 of them waiting tables. My daughter and I met a friend here for Sunday brunch. We sat outside on the patio. The weather was absolutely perfect with just a nice breeze to keep the heat of the day down. My daughter and I shared the Sampler, absolutely delicious! If you havent tried it, i recommend it. Huge servings! Then we both had the Mexican Patty Melt with a side of Fries! This sandwich is our go to sandwich when we can't decide what other treat we might want! We always come home with enough leftovers so we don't have to cook anything for dinner! So delicious! My friend got the Chef Salad! I was amazed at the sheer size of it! It was a lovely green salad base piled high with turkey, ham, cheeses, carrots, and tomatoes. This is also served with dressing if your choice, she chose Ranch Dressing! I dont know what these people do to their condiments, but even they are to die for!!! The Ranch dressing is so flavorful, thick and creamy, so it doesn't just run all over your plate, it stays just where you want it. She left with enough leftovers to have for dinner and maybe even a light lunch for tomorrow!! I can't say enough good things about the food here or the waitstaff for that matter. We were greeted with smiles all around. Our waitress came by several times to make sure our drinks were always full and we had everything we needed. She even brought extra napkins before I could ask for them. This was my first real dining experience out since the pandemic started and it truly couldn't have been better!!!! I came into town today to work for the week with the Forest Service and was recommended this restaurant. Although the food looked good I walked out due to our server. We waited patiently to get seated as there was a wait. No problem. The hostess seated us eventually and promptly gave us our drinks. This is when our patience ran thin. We sat for 30 mins with no acknowledgement from the server until about 20 mins in. She stated she would be right with us. Then we watched to our surprise when she took orders from 4 ladies thst came in after us. When she turned around i wanted to mention it but she cut me off. When she did come back I pointed out that fact and she very curtly said "I understand " I then asked if our order could go in before them and she once again stared at me and stated "I understand". No smile, No apology for the wait. She treated us as if she knew us and didn't like us for some reason. I decided then that I didn't want to "do business " with this server. I understand people can be stressed or establishments are short staffed but to treat customers rudely after the have been pleasantly waiting for an unusual extended amount of time is uncalled for.
