Alpine Tavern — Restaurant in Silverton

We came here after a long hike and stumbled upon this tavern, and wow - what a find! This is honestly one of the best taverns l've ever been to. Not only is it one of the most affordable places l've visited, but the atmosphere and service made it unforgettable. I would urge anyone in the area to stop by and try this place out! Even if you are not looking to grab a drink, the food is great and a must try!

Shilo was fantastic - super friendly, attentive, and gave us great recommendations. The environment is exactly what I was looking for after a long hike - fun, laidback, and welcoming. They've got a pool table, dart board, and plenty of TVs, making it the perfect spot to relax and hang out.

The prices blew me away. We got three drinks, queso, and cheese curds for only around $35 - easily half of what you'd pay almost anywhere else. The drinks were excellent, and the food was just as impressive. The queso was not only the cheapest I've ever had, but also the largest portion l've had and it was absolutely delicious. The cheese curds, though, stole the show - probably the best l've ever had! Their menu is extensive, and if I wasn't so full, I would've loved to try even more.

The only downside? I wish there was a place like this in Denver! I'll 100% be coming back and can't wait until...

This was a great find. We had been off-roading all day, got into Silverton and were hungry. We checked out a few places and Alpine Tavern was just what we needed. Friendly, inviting, a menu that was varied enough for our entire crew without being over-complicated and a great selection of beer and other drinks.
