The lady with brown hair will tell you to to control your kids My girls were playing with wind chimes.. granted they were being overly playing with them, but after my husband purchased a couple shirts here I was about to walk out when she decides to tell me “tell them to stop playing with them before they break one!” Being protective I told her to put a sign up if she doesn’t want anyone to touch them and that they are kids and and interested in them but then she tells me to learn how to control my kids. I don’t know what grown woman tells another mom how to raise their kids. For a store that relies on tourism, they are not very nice to tourist.

My wife walked into the store with my 2 year old son to look at some toy cars. When she was checking out, the store owner at the counter was talking to another customer and making snide remarks about my wife and I and how we shouldn't be bringing our infant daughter out into public. Little did she know that my wife was in line to purchase a toy car for my son. My wife overheard all this and called out the shop owner. Shop owner tried to tone it down and be like "aren't you afraid she'll get sick?" In conclusion, wife didn't buy the toy car and ruined my son's day and my wife's day. Based on the other reviews, the shop owner seems like an insufferable human being. The are tons of other nice shop keepers on the street. Jewelry is really pretty and decent priced for the most part. They folks were friendly, but making rude remarks about other workers and that just builds a culture of negativity and it made me feel uncomfortable. Up to the point, I felt like I no longer wanted to buy from them. However, I brushed it off since the last we were there we received great service. They do watch you like a hawk to the point it’s annoying and you don’t shop without having someone constantly watching you. They do seem to judge you based on your clothing. Store is decent in size and various other clothing and souvenirs. I might be back if I need later more jewelry for family. Anyways it worth visiting if you are in silverton. They do sell black...
