We went here to get ice cream for our kids. It's a narrow building without a lot of space, so we had to walk past the register to see the ice cream flavors. My kids needed to see the flavors, they didn't have a list of the flavors from what we could see, only funnel cake flavors. So we went past to look and the girl at the register waved at us and was obviously irritated and said we needed to pay first. We were very confused, it's not like we were behind the counter or something. I responded and nicely said we were just trying to see the flavors before we ordered. She threw her pen down on the counter, was obviously very irritated, and stormed off after giving her coworker a look.
I'm not one to leave reviews unless warranted. My kids took another moment to look at flavors while I looked at my husband and it didn't take long to figure out we both wanted to leave, so we walked out. Read moreEven though I don't eat them often, I do love funnel cakes. And this location stood out in this touristy mountain town. Which made for a great place to stop for dessert after more million-dollar highway driving. They have many different funnel cake designs, or you can have them build it however you want with the options they have. The funnel cake itself was pretty good, if not a little on the bland/dry side. I'd definitely suggest some toppings, which really do elevate the funnel cake experience.
The restaurant is very small, so you may want to get it to go. And the cakes are a decent size, so don't be afraid to share with somebody else unless you're wanting a meal-sized dessert. Service was also good, friendly folks.
Overall, definitely worth a stop if you're...
