Too bad ZERO stars isn't an option! So, my family and I came to this restaurant about 8 or so weeks ago and requested outdoor seating. The wait wasn't too bad, but once we were seated the table was noticeably dirty so we asked for it to be cleaned. We waited around for 5 to 10 min just to have someone come out and wipe down. It was another 10 min for someone to take our orders. The orders were correct and food was tasty, but service was EXTREMELY SLOW! My husband addressed the issue with our server and asked to speak with the manager. Our server indicated that he was one of the managers and apologized profusely and said that they were short staffed that day due to staff calling out that particular day (Saturday). My husband being a business owner himself understood, but felt issue should have been addressed earlier. When we checked out, our bill was incorrect (higher than it should have been), but we didn't want to linger any longer than necessary, so we paid and left. Our kids had enjoyed the food and they thought it was such a cool place we decided to give it a second try a few weeks later. THAT'S WHERE THINGS REALLY WENT SOUTH... SECOND VISIT- We again went on a Saturday afternoon and requested outdoor seating. Once again, very slow service. When I placed my order I requested a topping be excluded from my order. After waiting what seemed like forever for a couple of hotdogs and a salad, when the orders finally arrived they indeed messed up and added the item that I requested NOT to have on it. When I brought it to their attention they begrudgingly took the plate back to prepare another one. When they brought it back the SECOND time, it was smothered with something that I didn't recognize, nor was it on the first plate. When I took the plate inside and asked what it was NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON IMMEDIATELY KNEW WHAT IT WAS!!! How do you routinely serve something that no one can identify??? At that point, I just said cancel the item as I did not trust what they were serving me. Our waiter came out within minutes not even acknowledging the incident and just left the bill. He probably just wanted us to leave and trust me I COULDN'T LEAVE FAST ENOUGH!!! I won't be going back there ever again. My family enjoyed their food, but what they lack in customer service, it's NOT WORTH...

As a former long-time San Fernando Valley resident, I have been dining at the original Beep’s restaurant in Van Nuys for many years. Having relocated here to Simi Valley several years ago, I was very pleased to see the old Millie’s restaurant turned into a Beep’s Diner, as the food has always been great, and at a very decent price.

I have never experienced any food quality or service issues with the Beep’s location in the San Fernando Valley; even during times when it was very busy.

The ongoing issue that I have been CONSISTENTLY experiencing at the Simi Valley location is the extremely poor CUSTOMER SERVICE and rude attitudes that the care-free young employees seem to have, specifically at night…

I have often politely asked the counter employees at night what the status of my wife’s order is, CONDUCIVE to the text notification that clearly indicates that the order is or should be ready, and it isn’t. I am certainly able to be patient, though my wife is a diabetic patient and needs to eat within a certain amount of time after having her insulin… and the usual reply from the nighttime employees seems to be very curt and rude, with one young employee actually rudely telling me “you just need to be patient, and chill out”. Other times, I observe several employees walking back and forth behind the counter, and NOT ONE OF THEM ever offers to politely ask “Can I help you, Sir”?

Though it is quite understandable that things get busy, an employee should never berate a customer who is simply asking for a status update on their PAYED-FOR order, or be rude and unhelpful in any way… and, I sure as hell did not appreciate one young employee actually telling me to “Get Out”, after asking several times about the status of my to-go order… THAT is just simply NOT ACCEPTABLE at all, and certainly not the proper way to treat a loyal long-time customer!

I would love to see some marked improvement in how your young employees are trained in Customer Service measures… as well as perhaps an evening manager that will actually, umm, MANAGE the business… Thank you for reading this, and I hope that it is taken seriously, as your evening employees are HORRIBLE at delivering the most basic of Customer Service.

Thank You, Dennis...

Been here before. Food is good, hearty fare and tasty. Problem is the service is slow. Took about 5 minutes to seat three couples, including us ( the restaurant is pretty small, so I can not figure out why) even though there were a ton of open tables .

The burrito I ordered arrived luke warm. My wife's french fries were cold. When we finished eating, we asked our server for a box . He acknowledged us and then proceeded to stand around talking with other servers in front of the kitchen window. I finally got up after 10 minutes or so and got my own to-go box. Could be a nice place, if somebody was actually managing it.

Okay, came back again 3/14/22. I WANT to like this restaurant, but they just keep missing the mark every time.

First, the iced tea was literally water with ice and so weak it wasn't even the color of tea. Then I went to use the men's room, it wasn't very busy, maybe three tables were occupied. Plenty of staff on hand, in fact, one young worker was in the restroom when I entered. He checked his hair, washed his hands and left without looking around. The stall was in dire need of a cleaning, no seat covers and only about four sheets of toilet tissue. I mean, you're in there, check it out!! This was around 5:30PM, so nobody checked it out between lunch and dinner??

Food came to the table warm. Chicken fingers and fries and a chili size, 1/2 pound burger, not hot? How is that even possible? The burger, the same used for their signiture dish, was just ok, a flat, uninteresting frozen patty. I would gladly pay an extra couple dollars to have a fresh, hand formed burger with good texture and some flavor.

The baked potato was very good.

These things are just minor, in and of themselves, but someone is not paying attention here. Also, we come here for the 50s diner atmosphere and there was no music for the first twenty or so minutes that we were in the restaurant.

You guys CAN do better and not only survive,...

I ordered the Scrambler Biscuit Breakfast with hash browns and sausage links. My mother got the Bananarama pancakes (added Nutella on top) with over-easy eggs and sausage links, and my sister got the Monkey Pancakes (added Nutella on top as well) with bacon and over medium eggs. For the Scrambler Biscuit Breakfast, it was not good. The biscuit was dense, dry, flavorless, and overcooked. It also had a metallic aftertaste. The sausage gravy was clearly a mix and contained maybe two crumbles of sausage. I would not call that housemade. The hash browns were probably the best thing, but then again it's hard to mess up hash browns. The scrambled eggs were also overcooked, and the sausage links were sticky and plastic tasting. I couldn't finish this, and now I feel quite sick. The bananarama pancakes were supposed to be stuffed with fresh banana slices, but instead were stuffed with chocolate chips and banana slices. On the other hand, the monkey pancakes were supposed to be stuffed with chocolate chips, sliced bananas, and walnuts, but we're only stuffed with bananas and topped with walnuts and bananas. The bananarama pancakes were missing the caramel sauce, the whipped cream, and the powdered sugar. The monkey pancakes were also missing the whipped cream and powdered sugar. The 4 containers of maple syrup all had varying amounts of maple syrup, and napkins and cutlery were not included. Taste-wise, the pancakes were good and didn't have an aftertaste. The only other issue, was that one set of eggs were supposed to be cooked over medium, but they were over easy. Another thing we found was inconsistencies in their pricing. On their website, it shows two different prices for adding eggs and bacon or sausage - for the bananarama pancakes, it's $2.89, but for the monkey pancakes, it's $3.89. However, since we called in the order, the receipt has both as $4.39 - for the same thing (two eggs, any style, with your choice of 2 bacon or 2 sausage).

First time the wife an I visited. We have seen this place many times on our drives through semi valley. We decided to finally visit and we were very happy we did. As we got seated it, was certainly nostalgic of the 50-60s. Lots of flair on the walls and the music pumping from the "jukebox" was really interesting. Our waitress was friendly. We started with ice teas and the wife got a chocolate shake for our drinks. We got the fried zucchini for an appetizer FANTASTIC! As we munched on our app we looked through the menu further for our late lunch. First off, this place offers so many delicious Diner goodies on the menu that it certainly feels deliciously overwhelming 😋 The wife and I decided on the most basic of "diner fare" to which will determine if we really will come back to the place, Burgers. She went with the 1/3lb. cheeseburger with onion rings and I went with the 1/3lb. chili burger with tater tots. Took a bit of time to get our burgers but It gave us time to chat about the nostalgic pic's and posters around us. Loved the music! Eventually we got our goodies and it was awesome👌 Our burgers were perfectly cooked, my chili delicious, onion rings crispy, and my tater tots crispy golden brown. The best part was that the price was fair for the food and service we had received. All in all we will certainly will return to explore more of the menu's options👌

Beeps Diner is a classic American diner with a nostalgic atmosphere, friendly service, and hearty portions that make it a local favorite. On a recent visit, the steak and eggs breakfast was a standout. The steak was cooked just right—tender, juicy, and well-seasoned, pairing perfectly with the two sunny-side-up eggs. The home fries were golden and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and loaded with bits of onions and bell peppers for extra flavor. The dish also came with thick slices of toasted bread, fresh and perfect for dipping into the eggs. To go along with the meal, the hot tea service was a nice touch—presented with a small pot, assorted tea bags, honey, and lemon. It gave the breakfast a cozy, personal feel that elevated the experience beyond a standard diner meal. The service was quick and attentive, with staff making sure coffee cups and tea were topped up and checking in just enough without being intrusive. The retro diner decor adds to the charm, and the overall vibe is warm and welcoming. If you’re craving a solid, old-school breakfast in Simi Valley, Beeps Diner delivers both quality and comfort. The steak and eggs are well worth ordering.
