I've been shopping at this Ross location for many years. Over the past few years, most of the staff has been replaced with a new staff that doesn't seem to care at all. It's obvious that they just don't want to be there. The store ALWAYS looks bad and customer service has been replaced with a clicky staff that's too busy interacting with each other and their cell phones to be bothered
It's so obvious. I understand that this isn't a high paying job, but it's still a job where they are serving their customers. If you have a job, work it.
They seem to see their customers as a burden instead of the people who keep them employed. From a staff member abandoning their cash register over the holiday to take a personal phone call with 30 people in line. Left with 1 cashier being overwhelmed. Yes, if it's important, then ok. But, tell a co-worker instead of abandoning their post and hiding in the shoe isle while the manager is looking for them during their 10 minute phone call. Not sure why the manager just didn't take over the register instead of searching all over the store for a staff member that aas literally hiding 20 ft away.
I also overheard a Young man that's somehow a manager talking smack about the customers over the radio. The same Young Man that Never says hello despite how many times I've smiled and said hello to him. All I get are dirty looks behind a mask.
Once again, I understand that this isn't a high paying job, but when workers at Big Lots blow these employees away with their service, it makes me wonder why the workers at Ross are even working there to begin with.
If you don't want to work...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI hate that I have to leave negative review because I frequent this location however here we go⦠Around Halloween I purchased my daughter a pair of boots, when she tried them on at home she burst into tears. When I pulled her foot out of her shoe I discovered the tack part of the sensor was left in her boot and she stepped on it. I called the store manager immediately he was extremely apologetic and took a report and had corporate call me within 2 business days. They advised they would retrain the staff and make sure they were extra careful, the were even kind enough to send a gift card to my daughter. Today 11/21 almost 1 month later I purchased a large living room rug. A gentleman who assisted the cashier in ringing it up was asked by the cashier ādoes it have sensorsā to which he replied ānoā. Once we got home and laid the rug out my mother walked across the rug and to our surprise and her pain she stepped on the tack end of the sensorš³. Beyond frustrated I called the store manager again and he said he was filling another report. While I understand he canāt undo whatās been done itās just infuriating that the two people I love most in the world could be injured because of someones negligence. Sometimes sorry isnāt enough. UPDATE!!!!!! Today is 12/5 and I am yet to receive a call from corporate. I guess I will have to stop in and speak to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was disappointed. The pet section at this location was very scares. If I had a toy sized dog It was the right store but I don't. Although I was looking for several things, because my nephew just got a big dog puppy, I ended up only buy one thing for his dog and 1 thing for my dog, but honestly, he would have broken the majority of the inventory here. Including the food and water dishes. It was a let down because I've gotten things in the past at Ross for my dogs and been very satisfied. I told my nephew he needed to check out other Ross locations. He did not see the selection because he was outside with his dog but I just told him to maybe check another location as I has always had a good experience, besides this one, with getting things...
