From what was previously a Hook Burger comes Fun Burger here in the local community. I had experienced the former establishment's fare and found it quite appealing. The service offered by Fun Burger provided a wonderful expansion. The interior has a simple, but good metropolitan feel with concrete walls and cushioned seating along the edges. It's the kind of place where construction workers and other heavy labour types would go to enjoy big food that fills them up and tastes good, too. Against such an adult perspective, it has a good family aspect in providing games, both video arcade and that of coin prizes. Four large screen TVs are available for a variety of entertainment including political discussions, local and world news, talk shows and sports. Music also creates a good upbeat ambiance for the dining experience. The food itself, saved for last, comes as highly satisfying. Both beef and chicken sandwiches are available from a simple menu with around half a dozen varieties for both, with my own personal experience being a simple double beef burger with cheese, plus an excellent sampling of the triple fun fries in original, sweet potatoe, and spicy Cajun, the latter being particularly enjoyable. Malts and shakes are also available in over half a dozen flavours. The service itself was very gracious, both from what I believe was the owner/manager and that of the accompanying staff, who were all pleasant in their communication and promptness. I thank them for providing this dining experience with a 4.9 of a five-star rating. Why so? To declare anything perfect, there remains no chance for improvement, one which will be discovered in its own time by the respective staff. May they continue to provide wonderful service to the local community, and have both peace and prosperity in their business as a burger shop. Thank...
Read moreToday my husband and myself went to try fun burger for the first time. Upon arrival it seemed to be a cute fun place for family’s and teams to eat and watch games but after standing in line for 25 minutes the affect quickly wore off. The staff was slow and seemed like they had no idea what was going on. We had two groups behind us and one of them was also there for the first time and they left before ordering due to the wait. After we ordered we waited for 20 more minutes for our food we ordered a cheese bomb burger and a spicy chick fun with Parmesan garlic fires and two drinks. When the food came the fires and the chickfun were delivered and we were told that the cheese bomb was on its way. After ten more minutes we asked if it was coming out soon as I was almost done with my burger. The server said they did not receive the order and they are making it now. We ordered and dined in store so I’m not sure what happened. But he received his burger and it was slapped together and my chickfun was hard to eat due to the coleslaw being so wet the bottom bread was soaked and falling apart. While In the store I noticed poor food handling techniques and unsanitary conditions as well as a absolutely filthy bathroom. The bathroom was dirty with no toilet paper the toilet itself was not better than a porta potty and the sink was non functioning. The food quality for the price makes a second visit...
Read moreThey should rename this place "Fun Burger Sports Bar"! Went last night with my buddy for something quick to eat as a friend told me they were under new ownership. Ended up staying for the Super Bowl and we had a blast. I ordered the "Signature burger" and the "Avocado fries" which were the absolute bomb! Never tried avocado fries before which was a treat for sure. I had one of the on tap IPA's which was excellent and best of all well priced! Did I mention the prices are very good for the quality of the food along with the excellent service from the staff? I'm local and only ate here a couple of times under the previous ownership but haven't stopped by for a while but good thing I did. I was able to meet the new owners Tony and Opal, who were happy to share the upgrades they've made to improve the overall quality of the food, drink and entertainment which was quite evident after my visit. I'm all about the beef which is the heart of any burger and Tony only sources Angus grade beef, never frozen! This makes a huge difference in the final product. For dessert I order the "Apple pie shake" and it was truly the icing on the cake with a cherry on top. All natural ice cream made the "Old skool" way...excellent kudos to Fun Burger! Highly recommended and will be one of my regular stops here in town. Happy to have you guys now in our Simi...
