It's Boba Time - Simi Valley — Restaurant in Simi Valley

Nice little place to get your boba fix, many options available as well besides just boba tea. Ordered a matcha horchata drink while the kids indulged in some Oreo frozen drink.

The matcha drink was ok, but the flavor felt a bit watered down and could not taste the horchata at all. The kids liked their Oreo shake but complained it looked nothing like the picture (had to give them the marketing talk that pictures of food are purposely made more appealing so people will buy them 🤣).

Service itself was a bit slow, no one in line and a few employees in back but took a couple minutes to even get acknowledged and order taken. Agree with others that it feels like you are being rushed out once you are actually helped, like if we’re interrupting them on their time. This was on a Friday late afternoon for reference.

Might come back to give them another go, but for that price point and lack of good service, might start looking for other boba tea...

Good but lots of options. This place is pretty overwhelming with all of the menu choices. I'd recommend looking everything over before you go. Especially if you have kids who take A while to decide what they want. We got the mango, coconut & strawberry, and Pina colada smoothies with black boba. (All boba options other than the black boba cost an extra $.50.) The staff wasn't super helpful when I asked questions and after I said it's our first time. Other places I've been who serve Boba and I say it's our first time getting it here have been super helpful. So I was disappointed with that. But, I kind of understand why the cashier may have been short, the like was out the door and there was only one person taking orders. It's small inside so waiting in there while they make your order can be difficult when it's crowded. It was good but I think if we go back we will look over the menu more so we know ahead of time...

I had gone in and ordered on the computer thing since the employees were busy, it wasn’t even busy at the time but I get it. I order the boba and had swapped out the regular milk for oat milk since I’m kinda allergic to anything with lactose. Ik the drink that I get has ice cream in it but I’ve gone multiple times and they just don’t put it since it’s regular ice cream. Idk if they put ice cream or if they even put oat milk bc the drink made me very sick. Thankfully I only have slight allergies so all I got was a bad stomach, nausea, and a bit of hives but it shouldn’t have even happened in the first place. I get that they r teenagers but it could have ended up so much worse. Anyways this is just a psa to anyone who gets a milk alternative; please ask them if the made it with the milk u asked when they hand it to u. (Props to whoever made it tho the...
