Makenna Beach House — Restaurant in Simi Valley

Makenna Koffee is already known to be great! All their innovative drink choices are available here along with a menu, which includes tacos, burritos, smash burgers, varieties of loaded fries, salsas, soft serve & shaved ice. A small selection of beer & slush margaritas are also on the menu. More items are shown to be coming soon. We decided on takeout simply because it was within 20 min of their posted closing time. When stating it would be a to-go order, we were informed it could take 10-15 minutes, which was absolutely fine when considering the steady queue of customers before us. Surprisingly, it was actually ready much quicker with our drinks available first and our food to follow. A staff member also quickly checked with us to ensure our order was complete and confirmed that both drinks were received... which they were. The atmosphere was great... service was friendly and efficient, the flow was bustling but not overwhelming or obnoxiously loud, and the space was open and transparent with clean and comfortable seating, both inside and out. We tried the Sunnyside & Rodeo breakfast tacos and the California burrito, which we paired with our choices of an iced Hawaiian Honey & a Strawberry Redbull... all were DELICIOUS!! We are very much looking forward to returning and trying other items, which unfortunately may not be for a while due to the limited hours of operation. It is posted as open 8am - 2pm. Hopeful that extends to at least match the weekday availability of the truck...

Whenever there is a new place in our little town, we make a point of trying it out. Makenna is known for their delicious coffee. But now they have introduced new items to their coffee menu and a new location on Tapo st.

At first glance, the beach house is bright, clean, and has a chill vibe. I love the neon signs and the fun colored chairs. We got in the long line and realized there was no menu. I looked at my husband and wondered where is it? We got to our cashier and saw two menus on the counter. The menu was not too large but it would have been nice to stand in line and browse a menu. I will add pictures of the menu to my review.

We ordered the smash burgers and two choices of tacos. One was Mahi Mahi and the other was shrimp. Both were delicious. The smash burgers were small in size so if you are hungry, I would recommend the double smash. We also ordered the fries but they were not crispy. They were the only item we were not pleased with....

First experience, love their coffee, love good food with great service, have been to their other location, tried the breakfast burrito, expecting it to be great and best found instead it to be lacking egg quantity, and they use shoestring fries, of which when they're done right, crispy etc...they're great but found a oversized tortilla with very little egg, bacon, too much due to the lack of egg quantity, and inside was very greasy, and the shoestring fries where saturated with grease/oil, defnetly not what one would expect. They definitely need a health choice on their breakfast menu and need to revist the staff on the assembly and or content of the...
