Izakaya Sushi K — Restaurant in Simi Valley

This place is nice. Not so gawdy that it feels like you walked into a circus. For me it's just right. Feels like home to me. But enough about their atmosphere, their staff is absolutely amazing. Like mind-blowing amazing. We order so often that they know the sound of our voices and know our favorite order. The quality of their fish is literally the best I've come across in a very long time. I'm from Hawaii so my bar on fresh fish is high and this place does is RIGHT. Their portions are large and their prices are on point. Not gonna lie, The Hawaiian roll is my all-star. If you go for the Izakaya Combo, I always recommend going with 2 Hawaiian rolls and it comes with miso soup. If go for the Bento Combo you get more food than you know what to do with. I recommend the teriyaki beef & 4pc sushi that also comes with a spicy tuna roll, rice, salad & miso soup. My last recommendation for at least this review, is to definitely get at least one soft shell crab spider roll. One last caveat, for the best experience & fastest service possible, call in your order ahead of time. Like tell them you'd like to pick things up in 25-30 mins. You won't regret it. this was probably the best sushi ive ever had, i got a bento box, with beef teriyaki and california rolls, and it was SO GOOD. our waitress was amazing, shes so sweet, she gave me a free ramune; if u dont know wut tht is, its like a populaf japanese drink, nd its hard to explain how to open it, but theres a little marble in the top and u push the marble down nd it goes into the top part of the bottle, nd its sooo good. the environment was very good nd quiet, there was only 2 people there when we came in. the food was amazing, i cant say tht enough. im sitting in the restaurant right now drinking the ramune, nd i am so full ion think ill be able to eat ever again lol 😭 the only negative thing i have to say about this is tht it was very expensive, i went with my parents nd in total it was 144 (with tip ofc), but i wasnt the one paying for it so idrc all i care is this place is amazing nd i will definitely be coming back. My wife and I went to Izakaya since we just moved to the neighborhood and are looking for a new go-to sushi place. We were pleasantly surprised that this quaint small place was truly excellent. Absolutely everything we had was superb. The Monster Roll was huge and delicious! Great sauces, wonderful eel. All of the sushi was top quality and perfectly fresh.
