Lucky Dog Coffee — Restaurant in Simi Valley

I'm surprised I haven't made a review until now. I'm a regular at the shop and its a gem of Simi. The people working there are always nice. :) I usually get a breakfast bowl or a breakfast sandwich, but the hot dog they have is good too. There is a wide array of drinks to choose from and their holiday choices are always great (review written in Oct). I usually get a latte with a bit of honey in the shots and the quality of the espresso pull is always great. Doesn't feel weak and has a nice well rounded flavor. The more flavorful drinks also are fantastic and have a lot of variation. My only point is if you're not a big sweet person I'd get stuff half sweet.

They're dog friendly!! You can bring your dog in and they always have pup cups. Some words of caution if you have a reactive dog, the space inside is relatively small and there's a 8ft or so wide corridor to the register. Some people have less behaved dogs and will sit on the aisle by the walkway. In that same breath however, there's outside seating and everything is very clean and comfortable. And if you're inside, once you've ordered there's multiples tables that allow groups...

July 2022 update: new owners, same great atmosphere! They've started a 'yappy hour' on Fridays and Saturdays from 3 to 7. Along with providing shots, Lucky Dog Cafe continues to be a fantastic place to come drink coffee and hang out with your pup!

Update: it's been a few years and Lucky Dog is still going strong. A great business that supports it's local community strongly all while putting out delicious drinks and eats!

Caramel latte was perfect, and the flavor of the bagel with Lox was incredible. Probably the best mom and pop shop I've been to in town.

Also very dog friendly! Our Lola got a complimentary pup cup with whipped cream and a small piece of bacon. Definitely coming back...

I had some business around the corner and stopped in because of the great rating. The love they have for animals and how sweet the staff is made me happy to give them my money. And I came back today after my business appointment. More great staff service and they welcomed a dad his boys and their dog in from the afternoon heat. Then they took a picture of the dog Duke and poted it on the wall! And oh yeah, the coffee is really good and I'm kinda picky. They made a shishi coffee drink for me that most places don't make well in the city, and I could only finish half my burrito. The juices aren't too sweet. Perfect family style spot to chill on a...
