Great lunch spot in Simpsonville! The Lunchbox changed owners and the menu has been updated to serve upgraded lunch items. Sandwiches, salads, and soups dominate the menu but are done very well. The owner is a pastry chef and walks around with the cake of the day. I wish I'd known that going in so I could save room. The hot chicken salad was the only thing I wasn't a huge fan of but it's very unique. It's what they are known for but for me it wasn't the highlight. I almost skipped the split pea soup which was the soup of the day but I'm glad I didn't. It was full of flavor and the small bits of crouton on the top complimented it beautifully. I had the ham and Brie croissant which was really enjoyable but the peach relish was labeled spicy. I think it needed the heat to cut through some of the richness but it wasn't spicy at all. It was still really great. Oddly my favorite was the pickled okra served on the side. Adding this to the appetizers would be a great addition! Service was spectacular. There is No in May one server and the owner at the front. You would have never known one person was waiting on 10 or so groups at one time. Everyone was so friendly and helpful understanding the menu. The restaurant itself is setup well with a few outdoor tables as well. Give it a try!

The Lunchbox made my best friend’s wedding cake, and Tom was absolutely amazing to work with! From start to finish it was stress-free, and the result was hands-down the best wedding cake I’ve ever had (including my own). The cake was an ombré chocolate with salted caramel and buttercream icing, and each tier had three different layers—beautiful, decadent, and unforgettable. One of the coolest parts is Tom’s unique tradition: instead of saving the top tier, the couple gets to enjoy the entire cake on their wedding night, and he makes them a fresh celebration cake for their one-year anniversary. Such a thoughtful touch! Communication was easy, delivery was perfectly on time, and the cake table itself was stunning—Tom brought décor items and styled the display so it looked picture-perfect. Between his artistry, professionalism, and incredible pricing, this was truly top-notch white-glove service. If you want a masterpiece wedding cake and a stress-free experience, The Lunchbox is the way to go!

I pass this little lunch spot a lot and finally decided to give it a try. I took my wife there for lunch today because when I saw the menu, I knew it was a place she’d like. We’ll let me tell you, that chicken salad was the best either of us has ever had. She had it as a sandwich with the flakiest and buttery croissants (baked in house if I recall correctly.) I got the Reuben and it was great as well! Prices were very affordable as well! The only thing I wish they had was a fountain drink machine but they do have Ice Tea and Sweet Tea. Sodas are sold by the can. Definitely going back for a nice lunch for sure.

Over priced for what it is and I was highly disappointed. Waitress Cat is the only person handling the small room. She does it all and probably why she was so grouchy. However I can't excuse her attitude. I won't be back.

The place is small but that's what made Mary's Lunchbox quaint when it was Mary's. Upon walking in the floor jumps out first. The floor is painted concrete with the some of the swirls from the glue that used to hold the carpet or tile....how tacky and dirty looking. Waitress Cat seated me and I commented on the sticky table. She just turned her back to me and walked off. When she came back for my order I ask her if she would please clean the table. Guess she didn't believe me because she had to feel it herself. She tried cleaning it and it was just as bad as it was before. Now lets talk about the food. I ordered the Fruited Chicken Salad on Croissant. The bread was more like a roll and definitely not a croissant. Too thick and dense for chicken salad. The salad got lost in the bread. I had some time to waste so I ordered their Warm Apple Cake with Caramel . It was cute as it was a little Bundt cake however it was drier than dirt and the caramel...

Delectable desserts and daily dishes fortified with a curated menu. Crafted with love and care for each ingredient and the many mouths they'll feed.

I've had the privilege to dine here about five times over the past month and a half. Each time carefully choosing something new and never once regretting it. From the piquant pimento cheese to the tongue torching tangy pickles. It really never disappoints. Their salads, sandwiches, sides and sweets really can't be beat.

And that's before we get to the real star of the show, Pati!

Wait no!

I mean Pati, David, Jo and everyone else are amazing people but imagine if you will:

Delightful divine desserts that dazzle your senses. One succulent sinful spoonful of peanut butter pie will overtake your body and whisk you away to a paradise only written about in ancient texts. The cake of the day ensnares your soul and enraptures the brain. Overcome by the bombardment of dopamine you'll be drooling for more. So anytime you're in the area Monday - Friday before 2:30pm stop on by and say hi. I doubt...
