25 minutes in the drive thru! There are two lanes at the drive thru. Lane 1 moved six cars through while lane 2 took one order. My dashboard clock revealed that it took 17 minutes to get to the order board where I was told " Give me a minute "... I waited more than a minute and finally called out "hello??. The response was "I'll take your order now."--' no apology for the wait, absolutely poor customer service.
I waited as another 3 cars moved thru lane 1. When I finally got to the pay window, I very gently stated that lane 2 was moving slowly-- it appeared by his clothing that he was the manager and taking orders for lane 1. But, he clearly not care at all that the lanes were moving in a 6 to 1 ratio as he turned his back to me. No " Sorry for the wait" from him either. At least two cars left the lane 2 lane and one backed up and moved to lane 1-- they made the smart move!
Interestingly , the receipt indicated I was invited to take a survey only if I was "highly satisfied." Be assured, I will take the survey and express my dissatisfaction. Really, how much time does it take to acknowledge that the customer was waiting an extraordinary long amount of time or to say , "Good Morning." My total time at the drive thru-- 25...
Read moreIn Sioux City proper the stores are infernally unbearable. The wait times reach as much as a half hour even when there are only a few customers. The staff are excessively rude, unable to do the basic elements of their jobs, the stores are disgustingly unhygienic, etc.
This North Sioux City store is light years ahead and a totally different experience. The staff are exceedingly friendly, competent, fast and great at service. This store is amazingly clean too. Even during peak times they easily quarter the time it takes Sioux City stores to complete even large, complicated orders.
I never imagined I'd be giving ANY McDonalds five stars but this one definitely earned it. While I'm usually a fan of healthier eating options...I'll certainly be stopping here frequently. It's a refreshing change of pace from lifelong terrible experiences in Sioux City. God bless the staff here for treating the job and their customers like they are a...
Read moreIt’s a great place to go during the day, however there’s a guy who may be special needs who works at night. The screen wasn’t working and it was completely black, yet the other screen was just fine but cones were blocking it off. We wanted to inform him so we told him it’s black and he proceeded to YELL “I KNOW” and I’m like okay sorry we will need a minute (since we had to look all the way over at the other one ) and he then proceeded to yell AGAIN “FINE” I am not over exaggerating, he literally screamed in his mic. I have had multiple occasions with this man at night where when I say thank you he just flings my food at me and just ignores me. I understand if someone is special needs, but they should be monitored and any facility should not allow someone to talk to their customers like that. I would rather drive farther to a McDonald’s than go to this...
