Culver’s — Restaurant in Sioux Falls Township

Been a loyal and happy customer here for years, but today got really screwed over.

Did the drive thru and ordered two frozen custards. Nice, easy, fast order, right? Get up to the window, pay, and get told to wait at the window for the ice cream. Say okay and wait there. Different person steps up and says I can pull forward. I pull forward as instructed. Keep pulling forward. Six different people behind me get their full family meals brought out to their cars and I'm still waiting for just ice cream. It's been almost twenty minutes, I'm still stuck in the drive thru. The person bringing out food asks what my number is. I explain I was not given a number, they just asked me to pull forward, and I tell them what my order is. Wait another 5 minutes in the drive thru.

Finally I give up, pull into the parking lot, walk inside, and ask for my order. Get told they can't help me if I don't have my order number, which I was not given. I again have to explain my order. I get told a manager will speak to me. It takes them less than a minute to make my ice cream. No manager speaks to me. The place was lively but not packed when I arrived, and parking was a breeze. Going inside, I had a coupon and they verified it quickly, making sure to be jovial and friendly as I did so. I got my order put in (a cod sandwich value basket, with fries and a drink, and the flavor of the day in dish size) they were very upbeat and friendly, and my order was warm and fresh when they gave it to me. The food was delicious, even if the wait was not the fastest, it was not slow by any means. I sat inside, the store itself was very clean and tidy, with the tables being mostly clean as well, and lots of different table sizes for any party of people, mine being a party of one. They had the condiments stocked, and the drink machine had all drinks working. When asked about different options of food, the cashier answered very kindly and honestly, by saying it wasn't his favorite but it's very popular and liked by others, which convinced me to get that food.
