Gilibertos 10th st — Restaurant in Sioux Falls Township

I’m continually less impressed with this location the more I go. The food is good, yes, but it’s run by kids and often they close when they want to. (Sometimes the young workers’ children are there and they are constantly running after their kids from behind the counter during an order.) Tonight, I called at 9:30 and nobody answered. Tried again at 10pm, no answer. I finally drove up physically at 10:15 and she’s on her phone, texting, then hurried to lock the doors so she doesn’t have to work, despite it saying “midnight”.

This generation of kids need to be taught that a job is a privilege, and a business is there to make money, not a place to slag off and text your baby daddy.

They have dynamite food. But their service is in the toilet. Unreliable is the best way I can describe this location.

The other alternative is the Minnesota St location and that place either gets shot up or is packed with drunks (at night) out the door. You can see where this is going.

You won’t find better Mexican food in SF without sitting down, but both locations have MAJOR problems. Terrible...

Absolutely disgusting! The walls and atmopshere right when you walk in were gross, however, my wife and I have had the Gilbertos on Minnesota and it was amazing! So I thought, why not? My wife and I both ordered a ground beef burrito with a bunch of extras... it came to 23 dollars... not a bad price for two big tasty burritos! When we got home and took them out of the bag they were drenched, literally drenched in grease. My wife literally had two bites, I tried to down some more of it... I got to about a third of the Burrito down and noticed there was whole big chunks of Hamburger meat inside the burrito with very light pink in the middle... I had a stomach ache and felt disgusted... my wife literally threw up. This place has lots of good reviews and I have NO idea how... DISGUSTING... tossed the Burritos in the garbage, thank god we didn't get really sick.

IF you want to go to Gilbertos... go to the one on Minnesota! Way better experience! Cleaner and the food was great. Have no idea why there is such a difference between the two places,...

TL;DR: Server consistently acts annoyed with requests and I end up with food poisoning.

I've gone to this location numerous times for pickup and the woman I usually end up interacting with seems to give me boarder line eye rolls every time I ask for the jalapeno/carrot/onion mix and salsa verde like it's a huge hassle but I ignore it and remain polite because the food was good. (I started asking over the phone to avoid this but I was told to just order it at the window since it's free extras). This last time however she looked me dead in the eyes after I asked for them and said they're already in the bag. I was surprised and grateful thinking maybe she had remembered me. Got home, opened the bag and found no jalapenos mix, I was annoyed but whatever, the issue is that I also have food poisoning from that food too. Vomiting and diarrhea. Circumstances and interactions considered I can't definitively say it wasn't purposeful nor do I have the proof to say otherwise so I just won't be returning to this location. (E 10th)
