Its been a while since my wife and I have been here - the kids are all grown, for one, and we would still go by ourselves, or with friends and/or family, but we lived around the corner from 2 or 3 back in Texas - but we are over on Waveland and don't make it to Slidell or Gulfport ( Do they have one? ) much. Some things, at least in this place, have changed or are different, like using only takeout/papercups as opposed to plastic reusable ones ( which is ok, I get it, it makes sense. No problem ), no more trays ( THATS a big one, as a 60 yr old with a hip and knee replacement, bad back, all the EXTRA up and down, back and forth, because I could only basically carry 2 things at a time ), so we had to get up and go back and forth, silverware, drinks, napkins, plates, bowls, it was time consuming and unnecessary, and no condiments, i.e., salt & pepper shakers - in fact, I didn't see any available, not clearly noticeable? Behind the counter? Don't know if you had to ask for them or what ( I didn't ), but, other than that, typical CiCi's, which we always enjoyed. Good salad bar, good pasta, sauces, and of course good pizza!! Friendly, courteous, helpful and professional staff. Although, I don't know how they are here ( yet! ) about requesting specific pizza - I love pinnapple prize, didn't see any, usually I'd ask and they'd make it in other places, but I didn't ask - we did enjoy the available selection and I just didn't ask. No real reason. Maybe the time lost, back & forth, up and down, etc.?
I probably would have given a 5 star if not for those trays and condiments...
Read moreCicis Pizza in Slidell: A Great Place for a Quick and Friendly Bite! I've been a few times now to the Cicis Pizza in Slidell, and it's consistently been a pleasant experience. The food is exactly what you expect from Cicis – a wide variety of pizzas, fresh salad bar options, and those delicious cinnamon rolls. While it's not gourmet, it's definitely good and satisfying, especially for the price. They keep the buffet well-stocked with a good rotation of flavors, so there's always something to try. What truly sets this Cicis apart, though, is the amazing crew. Every single time I've visited, the staff has been incredibly friendly and welcoming. They are always smiling, even when it's busy, and they seem to genuinely enjoy their work. You can see them constantly working hard to keep the buffet clean and replenished, and they're quick to help with any requests. It's refreshing to see such a positive and hardworking team. It really adds to the overall atmosphere and makes you feel comfortable and appreciated as a customer. If you're looking for a casual and affordable meal in Slidell with good food and an exceptionally friendly staff, I highly recommend checking out this Cicis Pizza. You won't be...
Read moreThis place is doing something right. They have been here for at least 40 years. I haven't been back to eat at this place for at least 20 years, and tonight, I remembered why. I don't like their pizza, the price is not that great for just okay food. But, each to their own. The place was packed, so they making people happy. It worked out for me because it was a cheap way out, a birthday for my 11 year old. It's kind of like a poor man's Chuck E Chesse. Only being 19 days from Christmas, it is always hard to peel off a chunk of money for a birthday this close to Christmas. But, this place was sweet, and I got away with 4 adults and two kids being less than $50.00. Then, let the kids waste some money in the arcade. It would have cost $200 at a chucky place. Then we gave the kid $50 and turned her loose at the dollar tree, a few doors down. She told us, "Best Birthday ever." We have spent a whole lot more on her birthday and not achieved these results. I have to believe the success of this place is largely because there is not any other affordable sit-down pizza place in Slidell. Back in the day, there were Mr. gatti's and a couple sit down to eat Pizza Huts. A thumbs up for giving teens a...
