This place is super overrated. Nothing special about their food, it’s mediocre at best. But what really got me was the service and the vibe of the place. The service sucked. We sat at the outside bar. The bartender spent the entire time we were there walking fast around the bar and occasionally throwing (unnecessarily) a dirty dish into a bin. It really appeared that that guy was just trying to look busy instead of actually attending to people sitting at the bar. (Note the place was not busy at all, lots of bar seats and tables were open and only one party being served at the inside seating) There were also two plain clothed individuals who kept walking behind the bar and touching things and getting drinks for themselves and then they would sit back down at the bar… not sure if they worked there but if so they were obviously not on shift so why did they have to keep walking behind the bar to help themselves… but then again the bartender was extremely inattentive. We waited 30 minutes to place a food and new drink order and that’s only because after 30 minutes I flagged the inattentive bartender down to tell him we wanted to place our order. The guy next to me asked the bartender for tartar sauce and he waited 12 minutes before he got his sauce. After ordering our food the bartender never came back to check on us again until I flagged him down for our check. I had to ask a food runner to for sauce and he kindly brought me some. The food runners appeared to be the hardest working people at the place. The bill non itemized and hand written on paper with the words “food” and “bar” and a price next to both. ALSO I noted 2 old men in probably their mid 60s or up sitting at the bar. When I saw one of the much younger waitresses give one a kiss on the cheek I thought aww maybe that’s her grandpa….. but then the guy got hugs and kisses from every other waitress I saw working there and it started to make me extremely uncomfortable. He also had wandering eyes if you know what I mean. And then I noticed it happening with the second older guy and I was just flat out creeped out and started to hope that the waitress that works there was not uncomfortable for their whole shift. Vibes are off with...
Read moreSo, the food was good. The beginning service was good. Here’s what I did not enjoy. We got to Pub 447 to meet friends about 3 PM. We ordered food and a couple of rounds of drinks. Then we were told the bar staff was going off shift and we would have to close out our tab before they went off and start a new one when the next shift came on. We had a tab of $47 for 10 hotwings, a servinig of potato skins, 2 margarita well drinks and about 4 Miller Lites. We gave $60 and were never given change. I am a generous tipper but you’d have to have given beyond amazing service to rate more than a 20% tip! We did not say no change. She just never came back. Went off shift and kept the whole thing!
The next shift came on and we let the next bartender know we had not received any change. She stated she would let the other bartender know as she was still working. We still never got our change!
My son came and joined us and had some dinner. He had the king crab legs with fries. They were great and worth the price for what he got at $26.95. I had 3 more margaritas which were supposed to be well drinks and I was charged $9 per drink! My fiance had 5 miller lights. All totalled we were charged $73 more. I’m sorry, but we will not be back because the prices we were charged were outrageous. In addition it took a long time to get served another round as our bartender was too busy standing and crouching on top of the cooler shaking what she had for the group sitting in the corner of the bar opposite of us. I wasn’t impressed with the behavior or prices.
You have a wonderful venue. I wish you would put as much time and thought into the people who work for you as the look and feel of the outside bar, fire...
Read moreBeen going there for about 8 months ..at least 1x every other week ..sometimes more .. never had a problem until yesterday..have had most of the menu items ..especially seafood .. had lobster bisque soup and a salad with grilled chicken ..also noticed and added a lobster tail for $10 .. after our Lobster Bisque soups were brought out ..didn't notice till the bottom that there were several small pieces of plastic in my soup.. mentioned this to Chelsea (our waitress) ..I knew this was plastic because the bigger piece , that was shaped like a triangle, had a smooth section, separated by a section with 'bumps' ...and the piece was very hard.. Stevie Wonder would have noticed... Chelsea took the pieces into the kitchen and in 15 seconds (approximately) came back and told me it was cartilage from the lobster ..now I wasn't trying to get my meal comped or my bill reduced .. but I do take umbrage from someone who doesn't have a clue telling me that I don't know the difference between plastic and cartilage .. especially since I've been eating different crabs, lobsters, and shrimp for more than 40 years ..the lobster tail was also overcooked and recooked ..hard on one end ..soggy on the other ..I have taken family, relatives, friends, and customers there since I started patronizing the establishment .. it's even very much out of my way ..shame that the cook is limited with his experience and knowledge ..as well as the waitress ..as a business owner ..I know how employees can make or break you .. even though you have the...
