Wolfe's Den — Restaurant in Smithsburg

The Wolfe's Den....hold on to ur britches...has surprisingly great food - the dinner menu starts after 4pm and I was shocked at how good the teriyaki-basted wings and the steamers (or Sloppy Joe's depending on where ur from) were. Like...'Shocked' isn't even the right word to do my surprise of the awesome taste of the food any justice. 'Shocked' would be a dramatic understatement. You wouldn't think to expect such great food from a little dingy bar, but what I ordered really, really exceeded my expectations. And I had a drunk buddy with me who totally backed me up on the quality of the flavor on his taste buds. And it's not cause we were drinking, either. The food would have been just as great without any alcohol. Plus, the atmosphere's nice there. I've never encountered an issue/fight with anyone when I've been there. The bar has got 2 pool tables ($1/game), tip jars/Keno, booze, and stellar menu food...not just bar food, but food from a grill/kitchen in back. It pretty much has everything one looks for in a good bar...but sorry my perv fam...no strippers or topless dancers. I'll have to get ur fill of that somewhere else. But, take the non-pervs of ur crew to The Wolfe's Den and u and ur boys will be awe-struck at the food....but only after...

I've been here for a few times with friends of mine I really enjoy their pickle shots and they make a really good vodka and Red Bull. They have great deals on buckets of beer. I'm not too sure about the food but my friends always order from there and say how good it is. I did eat pizza one time but it was really late and I only had like one slice. I don't like the fact that I have to wait outside to get in and there's a waiting line and there is no need for it this is not a club. This is nowhere special. It's just a bar like a hole in the wall type thing even though it's the only one...

So cozy! Covid closure made time for refurbishment and it really shows! We visited here intermittently before covid and it was always a pleasant visit. Our visit today was even better. New counters, new pool table felt, new lighting, new floor and new bathrooms were all wonderful. Service was impeccable and the crispy pizza done right at the bar was yummy.
