I had a really bizarre and disappointing interaction with an Andy’s employee at the Smyrna location yesterday at around 5:30-6:00pm. I’ve been going back and forth on whether or not to post a review about it, but ultimately, if I was an owner I’d want to know. I’m a regular at this Andy’s, I take My two children for frozen custard here 1-2 times a week as an after school treat. All previous interactions with employees there have been pleasant and friendly.
The kids wanted to eat outside so we walked up to the window. I ordered 2 kids vanilla sundaes with hot fudge in a waffle cone and something for myself. When the order was called out I went to the window to get it and it was 2 kids sundaes in cups, my order, and then a small cone (not waffle) with vanilla custard. The guy who gave us our order wasn’t the same guy we ordered from. So I told him I think he had our order wrong, and told him what I ordered. The guy who took our order was now behind the counter next to the drive through window. When I told him I thought our order was wrong and that we ordered cones with hot fudge he told me, “yeah we don’t do hot fudge in cones”. I asked him, “well why didn’t you tell me that when I ordered? We get this same order all the time.” And then very aggressively he said “it’s on the menu!”. I was so taken back by it in the moment. I asked him “what’s your name?”. He wouldn’t give it to me. I asked him 3 different times, and he wouldn’t give it to me. After the third time he said “please move aside sir we’ve got other customers behind you we need to help.” I was shocked that the interaction had turned into this (and the guy who gave us our order was too, he was sitting there mouth open) and because I had my two small children with me and people behind us, I moved aside, took our order in cups and in a waffle cone that the guy who gave us our order had grabbed for us. We walked over to a bench and I scooped out the sundae from the cup and put it into the cone. The guy who wouldn’t give me his name had long curly reddish/brown hair in a ponytail.
Just terrible customer service all around. I will not be taking my kids back to this location, we’ll be going to Wendy’s down the street for after...
Read moreJust left this location a few moments ago and wanted to share my experience. I visit quite often and have always received great service and enjoyed their delicious custards. Tonight, however, I encountered a bit of a letdown. When I asked if it was possible to get a lid for my cups to prevent spilling during my drive home, one of the staff members responded in a passive-aggressive manner. I drove all the way from Murfreesboro for these custards because my family loves them so much, and I just wanted to keep them cold and secure during my commute.
Usually, I have nothing but positive experiences here—friendly staff, great customer service, and amazing custards—but tonight's interaction was a bit disappointing. I was order #380 and was there around 8:29 PM. I hope next time the she can be a little more understanding when customers ask for simple things like lids. Despite this, I still really love this location for their fantastic custards and generally friendly and...
Read moreSo I reviewed it earlier as the website made it seem like it was completed a few months ago when it wasn't. I included my old 1 star review underneath. I'm updating this to a 5 star as today it is officially open and the standards are very high.
Andys is a great place where the prices might be a little higher but it's definitely worth it. It's my favorite bang for your buck when it comes to dessert.
Old review: Doesn't exist. Tried driving there. Nothing but construction.
Once open I'll give an updated review. The purpose here atm is it isn't even built so don't waste a drive. I guarantee once it is built it'll be an amazing 5 star experience. Just...
