The friends and family soft launch was a success in every aspect through a customer’s eyes. Had to come back for round two on the OFFICIAL opening night to see if they could bring their Floyd game on again. They nailed it! Those beautiful neon green lights draw you to their establishment like moths to a porch light. Considering they only have one window to pay and receive your food, they had a great system going. When you approached the order box, you were instantly greeted with a welcome and request for a brief moment to wait. Every time a vehicle received their food and drove away you were instantly greeted again with your order ready to be taken. This seemed to keep the wrap around the building line moving smoothly. The gentleman that took my order was very polite, loud, and clear spoken. He read my order back to me and it was 150% correct! But, would the order actually be correct? Yup! It was read back to me once again by another woman once I hit the window to pay and receive my order. Then I was greeted again by another gentleman while we waited for our food. Waited no time to receive our order. Got the bag and it was hot! Got it home for the real test. Burgers that made you drool like you used to do watching SpongeBob making those krabby Patties. They were picture perfect! ZERO grease which meant a perfectly soft and unsoggy bun! They were very generous with the toppings and they were fresh as well! Fries were on point and perfectly salted and crispy! Who wants crinkle fries without the crinkle?! Not Floyd’s! I do feel like Plankton though and would love to get my hands on that secret krabby patty Floyd sauce formula! So until I can succeed at that, I’ll just keep requesting extra every visit to ensure plenty of dip-ability for my fries and burger! We can’t forget the star of the show though. The milkshake brought me to the yard! I’ll be going back to the yard as long as I can afford to for those milkshakes! I had the strawberry at the launch and the chocolate this evening. My husband had the vanilla this evening so I tried his just to say I’ve sampled all three and ohhhhh maaaaan! Picture grandma churning that homemade ice cream in her antique ice cream maker. Now picture it being hand stirred after it’s been frozen and scooped. Now picture going to Willy wonka for the finest chocolate money could buy to add to that icecream. The strawberry I just know they handpicked those suckers themselves from the finest strawberry patch! Now I need another shake and they’re closed for the night. I’ll be back tomorrow! I’ll have to tell my fitness trainer I can’t afford him and the shakes so I’ll have to let him go! Finally, a Mayberry style joint to make our old Small town Smyrna feel like a small town again! This Smyrna Native is over the chain food places!!! Kudos for excellent food and service Floyd...
Read moreHad the pleasure of trying Floyd’s for the first time. Will definitely not be my last. Took to my wife for lunch so I ordered a sampling of things and split between us. The menu is very simple. They do a couple of things and do them well. As a long time Smyrna guy, I am obviously going to compare to Karin’s. Here’s the best comparison. Burgers are similar though I’ll give a slight edge to Floyd’s. There’s something on the burger that gives it a bit more flavor and it absolutely shines. Fries, I’ll probably throw the edge to Karin’s. I think maybe with it being lunch rush, the Floyd’s staff were making some ahead and they weren’t super hot or crispy. Tasted good just a little old. Will try again. Onion rings, about even. Chicken tenders. Dude, Floyd’s were awesome. Dipping sauce. Ok, I may get yelled at for this. I love Kanes sauce and Floyd’s was similar but better. Delicious. Service was about the same. Yes, Golden Arches are going to be faster but the wait at Floyd’s will be worth it. The staff was lively and it seemed like they were having fun even though the were busy. The order taker was engaging and patient. Definitely will be back to try a shake. Also, in and out the parking lot was WAY...
Read moreJust ate at this establishment. We'll done guys. A little wait in the drive thru BUT, my Burger was hot and put together with care, it looked like a master peice or a photo, very tasty too. It was melt in your mouth kinda burger. Fries on point and hot, yummy with the Floyds side of sauce that was offered. Just what I expect when I have to wait a few minutes, on point and yummy. You guys nailed it. Drive thru order taker was clear in her speaking with a great friendly tone and communicated back the order to insure it was correct. She displayed great customer service and care In her interaction with customers. Being picky here....she needed a smile tho. I'm sure she was focused on her job and forgot to show her pearly whites. Just nit picking here. Down fall.....the lids on the drink cups are not snug and easily come off. I'd be willing to say I'm sure they aren't aware of this and why I bring attention to this. Diet Dr Pepper was on point. I bring this up because you can't beat a McDonald's soda. They are neck and neck with McDonald's on thier soda. Keep up the good job folks, it was a great experience and I'd give you 10 stars 🌟 on all aspects of my visit. From the window everything...
