A Culinary Masterpiece at Simple Grill: Where Ribs Fall Off the Bone and Excellence Reigns
If you're on the hunt for an unparalleled dining experience that combines mouthwatering cuisine with the vibrant energy of a black-owned gem, look no further than Simple Grill. This place isn't just a restaurant; it's a celebration of flavor, culture, and community.
From the moment you step through the door, Simple Grill greets you with a warmth and charm that's as inviting as its menu. But the true star of the show? The ribs. Oh, the ribs. These fall-off-the-bone beauties are a testament to what happens when culinary passion meets expert technique. Each bite is a succulent journey through tender, smoky perfection that leaves you wondering if you'll ever be satisfied by ribs anywhere else again.
The secret behind these exceptional ribs lies in the carefully crafted rub and sauce, which balance bold, smoky notes with a subtle sweetness. It’s clear that Simple Grill has perfected their recipe, ensuring every rack is served with an exquisite blend of flavors that dance on your palate.
And then there are the fish tacos. Simple Grill’s take on this classic dish is nothing short of spectacular. The fish is flawlessly seasoned and fried to a crispy golden brown, while the fresh toppings and zesty crema add layers of texture and flavor that make each taco a vibrant taste sensation. It’s a dish that showcases both creativity and attention to detail, offering a refreshing contrast to the rich, hearty flavors of the ribs.
But don’t overlook the sweet potato fries. These are not your average fries—they’re a crunchy, caramelized delight that strikes the perfect balance between savory and sweet. The fries are perfectly crisp on the outside and tender on the inside, with just the right amount of seasoning to elevate their natural flavor. They're the ideal complement to any dish on the menu and could easily steal the spotlight if not for the exceptional ribs and tacos.
But Simple Grill is so much more than their incredible dishes. As a proud black-owned business, they bring an extra layer of cultural richness and authenticity to every dish. Their commitment to quality and community shines through in every aspect of the dining experience, from the friendly service to the soulful ambiance.
In a world where dining out can sometimes feel impersonal, Simple Grill stands out as a beacon of warmth and exceptional taste. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure to treat yourself to a meal that embodies the very best of what food—and community—has to offer.
Trust me, once you’ve experienced Simple Grill’s fall-off-the-bone ribs, extravagant fish tacos or ambrosial sweet potato fries, you'll understand why this place is more than just a restaurant—it's a...
Read moreWe went on a Friday morning right around 1115 shortly after they opened. we were seated promptly and drink orders taken.
The decor, like the name is simple and open. there's a small bar and it looks like they serve beer (which means we'll likely be back for dinner some time!)
There's not a ton of seating, but when we were there that didn't matter as we were the only ones there.
i decided on the ahi tuna salad, and my buddy ordered the Reuben. while we were waiting the waiter brought us warm bread with a fantastic honey butter spread.
A few minutes after i ordered, the chef came out and said he wasn't comfortable serving the tuna, and his delivery for the day hasn't arrived so he asked me to make another choice. i went with the seared fish sandwich.
Both of our meals were excellent. the fish was cooked and seasoned to perfection. they brought out house made tartar sauce, but i didn't really need it.
My friend enjoyed his Reuben and even more so the price. we both spent under fifteen bucks for a good meal - this is probably the least we've spent on a lunch in a long time.
We will be back to this...
Read moreFood tasted great, service was horrible. Unfortunately, my husbands prime rib entree was rung in as a prime rib sandwich. We would have sent it back, but the server didn’t come back to the table until everyone else was almost done eating. By that time our two young kids were getting antsy and we didn’t want to wait another 20 minutes for a new meal to be prepared. Because of this mixup it caused his baked potato and side salad to add an additional $10.25 to our bill. On top of that I ordered a baked potato with my sandwich and was told it would be an “up charge” which I was totally okay with. Turns out she charged me for an extra full priced side. Last but not least, the service was horrible. One of my kids spilled her water and the server didn’t bring any napkins. She never came back to check on us once the food was served, so we ate the whole meal with no napkins or drink refills. Everything we asked for once she did come back took forever. It was 5pm so it wasn’t even very crowded. We had heard great reviews and really wanted to like this place. If we ever attempt to give it a second shot, it will be for...
