I usually go to Toots every Wednesday for lunch.
Menu: Toots has plenty of selections to choose from to include daily specials.
Portions: Everything Toots serves is very generous as far as paying for what you get.
Food Quality: If you are not picky about frozen food as opposed to fresh, toots is the place to be for the frozen food is obvious only to the food connoisseurs. If you are not then I promise you that you will never notice the difference. I can tell you this though, if you order a hamburger you will get fresh beef and a very good size delicious burger with curly fries or onion rings, whatever you decide.
Service: Hit and miss which is why I give toots a 3 star rating. Being a regular on a weekly basis more times than not the service is slooooow, but that is not the fault of the cooks, I have watched my plate sit under the heat lamp for up to 10 maybe even 15 minutes before it is brought out to me, needless to say, cold. Toots has some very good service waitresses during the lunch crowd but for the most part I have had the liberty of being served by the lackadaisical bunch. With that said, if you work at toots and know who I am, if I only tip you 3 dollars then you know that what I wrote pertains to you, if you are one of the girls that I tip 5 or better, than pat yourself on the back, great service does not go unnoticed by me and as far as the 3 dollar tip goes, pat yourself on the back too because I personally feel you made 2.00 over your...
Read moreThis review is a little delayed, but much needed. Last week it was my brothers birthday (he has special needs). His favorite place to eat has always been Toots and he would eat there multiple times a day if possible. This year his birthday was especially tough because we couldn’t have a big party due to the circumstances of COVID-19. My girlfriend and I decided to do something special for him and call toots with a very odd request to buy server supplies because he likes to be a toots server at home. When I arrived the manager on duty, Ashley, was so helpful and nice. I want to give a huge shout out to Ashley for being so great with the situation and she actually donated the materials to us at no charge! I have managed in the restaurant industry for many years and I understand theses requests, especially on a busy weekend day, can be overwhelming. She was so gracious to help us and go above and beyond when it came to making someone’s day special. I hope moments like these are highly praised by the company because it’s truly what makes the job worth it in my opinion and shows other employees that they can make a significant difference in someone’s life. Thank you Toots, and more importantly thank you Ashley. You helped my brother have one of his best birthdays during one of the hardest times he’s faced. Thank you, thank...
Read moreAt Toot's the customer service is excellent, the food is mostly deep fried, and the deserts are totally unhealthy (but taste GREAT!) Their slogan is "good food, fun times." If you want deep friend, unhealthy food, sports on TV, and lots of good, local, southern neighbors eating out, Toot's is the place to go. Given the average weight of the clientele there, I'd agree that the food is "good" when referring to flavor; but not necessarily health. When we arrived, we told the server that we were new. She immediately notified her manager. They provided a complimentary small basket of fried pickle chips. Very tasty, and great customer service. The menu has lots of burgers, raw oysters, wings, fingers, fries, and other deep-fried items. I ordered a salad with chicken fingers. The salad wasn't served in a bowl; instead a tray. The (fried and tossed) fingers on the salad were excellent. Unfortunately, the rest of the salad was not a repeat. It had been sitting in the fridge for too long. The greens were wilted with 1-2 brown spots. Additionally, the tomatoes were diced, and wilted. Finally, there were few other ingredients (besides a few cucumber slices) in...
