Lickin Good Donuts in Soddy Daisy has been open just a few days. We as a city have been very excited to welcome a “real” donut shop. I arrived to a full parking lot and a line practically out the door! I stood in line for at least twenty minutes. None of this was upsetting to me, and I’m so happy to see them flourishing!
When I made it to the counter I ordered a half dozen donuts- 3 glazed, 2 blueberry cake, 1 raspberry filled. With tax the total was just under $10. I did not try coffee (not a coffee drinker or anything else, but I plan on trying a breakfast burrito soon.
I will say that the donuts are very good. They tasted fresh and were delicious. A few pros and cons I noticed:
The raspberry filling was soooo good. They have a decent variety of flavors. I was happy to see apple filled, though I did not try it today. The donuts are quite small compared to donuts from other shops. I noticed the small size while standing in line. This isn’t a terrible thing I suppose, especially if you want to try multiple types of donut. I don’t think the small size was just for today either, as they fit perfectly in the box. As soon as I brought the donuts home my daughter’s first words were “Those are so small!”. Despite the small size, the price for a half dozen mixed donuts was about a dollar more for a half dozen and five dollars more for a dozen than at the nearby Dunkin. Yes, I know Dunkin doesn’t make their donuts in house, but five dollars more for one dozen smaller donuts seems extreme. We also frequent Emily Donuts in Crossville (the worlds best in my opinion), and they are also larger and cheaper. I haven’t compared pricing to other locally owned donut shops in the Chattanooga area yet.
Overall, this is a great option for our little town, and I will...

You can taste the difference. These aren't your average mass-produced donuts.... they are handcrafted perfection. 😙🤌 The dough is soft and airy with the perfect chew, all the glazes, fillings and toppings are rich, flavorful, and not overly sweet. It’s like Grammy's kitchen met a pastry chef’s dream.
The variety is amazing, yet not overwhelming. It's obvious they focus on quality. Every flavor feels like a small celebration. 🎊🥳 From classic glazed to creative seasonal flavors, (currently drooling over the coconut coast 🤤). All of it is balanced, thoughtful, and just downright scrumptious.
And most importantly.... The staff. Sooo friendly and passionate, they always make you feel welcome, whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth.
I can honestly say these are the best donuts I’ve ever had. If you haven’t been here yet, go now. Hop, jog, skip, run... Just get there, and prepare to fall in love one donut at...
Read more“When Heaven Hits Your Taste Buds at 6AM” If you’ve never had a spiritual awakening over a donut, you haven’t been to Lickin’ Good Donuts in Soddy Daisy. I wandered in on a rainy Tuesday looking for caffeine and found nirvana in the form of a warm beignet that made me question every life choice that led me to eat grocery store pastries in the past. Regret? Absolutely. But redemption comes by the dozen here. Their glazed donuts are fluffier than Southern gossip, and the cream-filled ones? Let’s just say I’ve had relationships less satisfying. Pair it with their rich coffee that hugs your insides like a Southern grandma, and suddenly your morning turns into a porch swing symphony. Every bite is a love letter to Louisiana — bold, sweet, and unapologetically indulgent. The staff are absolute gems, serving up smiles like powdered sugar confetti. Y’all, Lickin’ Good doesn’t just make donuts. They craft experiences. I came for a snack and left with a mood makeover. Go get yours. Then tell everyone you were “just out running errands.” We’ll...
