NO. 1 Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Soddy-Daisy

NOT GOOD. I got diarrhea. A friend of mine moved to Soddy Daisy and when I came over to visit we got Chinese food take out. We read the reviews and most of them were positive with just a few exceptions so we thought we would try it. The food was bland and had no taste. I got the sweet and sour pork and even the sweet and sour sauce was not good. The pork without the sauce had no taste. My friend got the sesame seed chicken and couldn’t eat it. What she couldn’t finished I took home to eat later. In the middle of the night I had to get up twice with diarrhea. I never write reviews but this time I thought I’d better. We both love Chinese food and we’re very disappointed. The Fried rice was yellow which indicates to me that it was actually white rice with yellow coloring. Now I am wondering about all the good reviews on this restaurant. It goes to show you can’t trust reviews and other peoples opinions or judgments. If the food had just been bad I probably would not have written this review. The only reason I did write the review is because I got diarrhea. Like most people I eat out a lot and sometimes the food is good and sometimes it’s not. Only one other time did I give a restaurant a bad review and that was Amigos Mexican Restaurant on Dayton Blvd after I got sick eating their food. There are several reasons someone would get sick after eating in a restaurant. Old or leftover food, someone didn’t wash their hands or bacteria from unclean utensils. Restaurants should be careful what they serve the public 100% of the time. Salmonella is very serious. Although this is why we have reviews. Update: We went in again for dinner and the food was awesome again. I highly recommend checking them out. We stopped in to try a little Chinese food. This has to be the best place around the area. The Pork fried rice is over the top good. The Pork and fresh Mushrooms were awesome. The Beef with Broccoli was soo good that I couldn't stop shoveling it in. The fresh vegetables and perfect seasoning of everything were very enjoyable. We are looking forward to stopping back and trying other things...

This buffet doesn’t have a huge selection, but the food has always tasted fresh, and it’s all delicious. I go here every few months since I work nearby. I’d go more often but I’d eat myself to death.

Cash only so make sure you hit up an ATM before going, but it still won’t break the bank, especially if you just get water. Something like 7-8 dollars all you can eat last I checked, maybe less.
